Camping du Bois de Reveuge — Hotel in Besançon

Camping is too big for our taste, if you don't mind this kind of massive camping your sure to enjoy yourself. Pools are a wee bit small for the amount of people of the camping is (almost) full. After a few days stay the camping was about half empty, which made the pools les crowded as well. We enjoyed going onto the lake with the water bike or canoe and a little mini golf. The golf course could use a bit of an upgrade but as it's all free, it was good enough. Sanitary building at the front bit of the camping is clearly newer than the one on the back which could do with a bit of an upgrade. As it was, it was 'sufficient' door our needs. The kids disco/entertainment in the evenings was great (according to the kids) but a bit loud. We had a pitch almost at the very back of the camping but could hear the beats without effort, I can only imagine what it would be like on pitches closer to the reception/activity centre. There is no camping shop to speak of which is a great miss, especially if arriving on a Sunday afternoon when all supermarkets in the vicinity are closed. Prices for the stuff that is sold in the shop are fairly high. The bread that is sold is ok but clearly mass production stuff so you might as well visit the nearby Super-U in Baum-des-Dames. For food, the options are limited to pizza or chips/snacks. Upon arrival we were told to pick a pitch. The site is huge but most of the pitches were grass and totally waterlogged. We did find a nice gravel pitch directly overlooking the lake. There are a lot of chalet homes on the site that look very old and in dire need of updating. The campsite looks like it needs a lot of maintainance to keep it running and any cosmetic maintenance is left out. The campsite is quite isolated. The surrounding area did look good for cycling and walking but no towns or villages are within walking distance. We stayed for two night out of season so I cannot comment on the various activities on offer as non of them were running. Camping in the middle of nowhere. Grote standplaatsen met stroom en water. Er zijn een aantal plekken met een hokje, tafel met 6 stoelen en een koelvrieskast (plaats 325 tm 328). Dit is echt aan te raden als je niet veel mee wil nemen.

Er is genoeg te doen voor kinderen tot 12 jaar. Zo is er een mooi zwembad met glijbanen en een overdekt gedeelte. Je kunt er Pijl en boog / buks schieten, kanoën of suppen. Als je van vissen houdt , zit je hier goed. 's avond is er door de week kinderdisco en bingo.

Buiten de camping zijn ook activiteiten of bezienswaardigheden maar dat moet je wel een stukje voor rijden.

Camping is m.i. minder voor jong volwassenen omdat er niet echt een plek is om elkaar te ontmoeten; het zwembad bijvoorbeeld is al om 19u dicht. Tip voor de eigenaar; Heel veel jongeren zouden het fijn vinden als het zwembad geopend zou zijn tot 22u.

Je kunt voor 19u bij de receptie ontbijt reserveren (stokbrood, croissants e.d). Lekker vers en betaalbaar. Verder kun je er pizza's en patat (af)halen. That's it.

Toiletgebouwen zijn oud maar netjes. Las veel klachten over hygiëne maar dat vond ik reuze meevallen; meerdere keren per dag wordt er schoon gemaakt. Allen zaten en paar WC brillen en beetje los. In één gebouw waren geen wc brillen dus die vermeed ik. Douches dikke prima.

Wat ik erg miste was een camping winkel. Je kunt alleen bij de patatafhaal een aantal producten kopen. (Aanwijzen en afrekenen). Pinnen alleen boven de 10 euro. De dichtstbijzijnde Supermarkt is ca. 15km rijden.

Met een EV beland je hier in een ware hel; Je mag niet stekkeren op locatie zodat je EV het erg zwaar krijgt bij warm weer. Ze geven als reden op dat het net dan overbelast wordt..... airco's op campers met dubbel vermogen zijn gek genoeg wel toegestaan. Elke avond lopen ze EV na. Er zijn 3 oplaadpunten aanwezig maar daarvan werkt er maar één. Deze heeft ook nog eens een belachelijke hoog starttarief van 6 euro waardoor een paar kW per dag bijladen enorm duur is. Niemand maakt er dus ook gebruik van. Tip voor de eigenaar: Plaats een aantal gratis palen en zet deze op maximaal 4A. Hiermee voorkom je dat er echt geladen gaat worden en blijft de...
