I had a wonderful stay with Jean-Marie and Jean-Louis. Their house is beautiful, a careful renovation that has kept the atmosphere of an old house with modern comfort quietly added. I also really loved the terrace and the Potager and the privacy of the outdoor space. The rooms are immaculate and Jean-Marie has thought of every detail. I loved their collection of vintage china and tableware and Jean-Marie is a wonderful cook, he really thinks about the delicious meals he offers with great care. The location is great too. I travelled on foot and with regular buses in both directions, I visited Blaye and Bordeaux very easily. Read moreWe stayed here in June 2024. The hosts are extremely gracious, accommodating and kind; we had a delicious dinner that was excellent value as was the breakfast. There was a lovely outdoor seating area in front of our room. The bike storage was excellent and included a wide range of tools. But the rest of our accommodation was problematic. The toilet is in the room with only a screen for privacy. The bed was uncomfortably hard, we had to ask for toilet paper, and there was no shower - just a very deep tub. I can't remember what the listing looked like when we booked the room but I am sure I wouldn't have booked this accommodation had I known the toilet wasn't a separate space and was in the room.
