What an amazing trip and a great chalet to stay in. Julie and John are amazing people, they couldn't do enough to meet our needs. There were 3 of us, myself a keen skier, but I have hardly skied since having a child. He is now 7, this was our first ski trip. My mother, in her 70's also wanted to come on the trip. From day one Julie and John were there to make sure we had a good time, from helping with ski rental, booking lessons, or just making sure my mother was comfortable in the chalet. The Chalet is huge and spotless clean, food is amazing. The skiing in the area is excellent, there are about 6 resorts within about a 20 min drive in the chalets minibus. Being able to choose lift stations you can miss the lines at the lifts (local knowledge helps). We only had a dusting of snow whilst there, but the runs were in great shape. Flaine is a bowl and holds the snow very well. Did I mention the food?? John is the chef and he does a great job, there is a bar and you can help yourself to beer, wine and snacks. Outside there is a hot tub which is great to relax in after a tough days skiing. My son had a great time with the 2 dogs, who are very well trained and no where to be seen at meal times. I had some issues with my feet so decided to buy a pair of boots. John took me Lionel Sports in the resort of Sixt. Stephan custom fitted my boots, and what a difference they made. Anyone thinking of getting boots, I can totally recommend this place, I went back and they tweaked the boots and said any issues, I can come back next year and they will adjust the boot free of charge. Didn't need an excuse to go back to Chalet Le Pery, but think that has clinched a return trip for 2024.||Thanks John and Julie for a great trip and introduction to...
Read moreAt last a chance to ski again and a return to Chalet le Pery!!|||| Our previous visit was in January 2020 and on our return home we’d immediately booked for January 2021. Unfortunately Covid 19 arrived and scuppered our plans, so we transferred the booking to January 2022. But as December 2021 arrived and French borders were closed, we began to doubt if we’d make a return.||||Amazingly, three days before our original planned departure date, restrictions were eased and we seven delighted visitors were the first lucky squad to visit Chalet le Pery this year! What a cracking week we had too!!||||As per our previous visit, Julie and John excelled themselves. They are truly superb hosts. The accommodation, delicious food and ability to accommodate various dietary requirements, the transport arrangements, care and attention to detail, made our stay in their beautiful chalet a relaxing and a totally bonza experience. Their welcoming manner and the fact they enjoy a laugh and a giggle makes it even easier to enjoy being there. As we are all dog lovers, having two gorgeous dogs around was an added bonus.||||So thanks again to Julie, John and of course Poppy and Ouska …we had a ‘ticketyboo’ time and would recommend Chalet le Pery without the slightest hesitation. There is nothing we would change about this...
Read moreOur 6th or 7th Independent Chalet ski holiday, all have been good but this one the best. John and Julie were brilliant, so welcoming, food, transfers, daily drop off and pick up, arranging ski hire and recommending where to ski and apre-ski where all spot on. I was with my wife and we had a superb week this January (2020) and met great co-guests. Intend to go back next year with our kids. Definitely recommend for couples or families. Oh yea, and the ski area, brilliant, there are two valleys before you reach Flaine, both full of great skiing, we never rushed to Flaine there was so much to do before getting there, so would certainly stay here rather than Flaine.||The drink was freeflowing, but the specially selected bottles of wine to go with the wonderful food was a...
