Having stayed at other premiere classe hotels was a bit disappointed with this one. The staff on the reception desk were very helpful/pleasant. Stayed here twice the first room was on the ground floor at the front of the hotel which was also very hot and stuffy - and no air conditioning!. Also couldn't leave window open at night as no security barsThere is a new car wash situated directly next to the hotel which continues in use late into the night!. Second stay was a little better as on first floor at side of hotel which was in the shade and window could be left open and a bit quieter. Breakfast is good value for money and same standard as all premiere classe hotels. There is not a lot to do in the area but it is in good location as close to motorway if enroute down South. Tried to get into restaurant in local town but was turned away as reservation only, even though it said open for business. There is however a very good McDonald's less than 5 minutes away with great friendly helpful staff and a more comprehensive menu than the UK. Also Carrefour with a fuel station just 7/8 mins up the road which also has 24hr fuel station. The Diesel here was one of the cheapest we found in France, but beware if you have only cash as at certain times debit/credit card...
Read moreThey say you get what you pay for, still the price is a little high for what you get. A 140cm-ish bed, a 50cmx50cm table, and 2 (stacked) chairs in a room just big enough to fit it all...This is complemented by an on-suite where you can either go to the toilet, brush you teeth, or shower...choose wisely which one because it's either or, not either and. I paid on-line, didn't have the breakfast, my only interaction with the staff was to pay the traveler's tax or the noise the cleaning ladies were making in the hallway as they were making the rooms. All-in-all this was fine but my gripe is twofold. 1-please change the outside color of the blackout store on the windows to white on the outside facing side. As is it's black and made my none ventilated room a real sauna! "Why not simply open the windows?", you may ask. That bring me to n°2. 2-right outside my windows was the car wash and gas station of the neighboring supermarket. Even when no one is washing their car the compressor makes a racket no one can sleep through! So you get what you pay for, but judging by the amount of sleep I got, the cost per hour or shut-eye...
Read moreWe booked 9 months this having stayed in or premium classe. On arrival we had obviously been putting smoking rooms. The stench was so bad my chest immediately constricted. Despite having requested non smoking rooms we were told we could not be moved as the hotel was full which it eventually was but not when we arrived. They managed to move one room to a double which meant I had to share a bed with 2 of my children as the triple room was not suitable to put children in. My husband slept in the smoky room and my eldest teenager slept in the car as his asthma was set off by the room. The hotels only response was to shrug his shoulders and spray the room with a token air freshener. As the only English family staying I think we were put in the stinking rooms as it would be harder for us to complain. An experience never...
