Camping Chanteraine — Hotel in Brignoles

Camping. The camping is very good, it has swimming pool for kids, good sanitary equipment, enough place fortent and a car. Nice location.

Restaurant. The restaurant seems nice for French people. For foreigners they seem rude. After a journey we were quite hungry. So we ordered a pizzas with some additional meals. But it turned out that the personnel, after accepting our order, started to prepare its own supper,then eat it. It lasted over one and half hour until we got the meal. That was awfull as I saw later that Frenches got their meals almost immediately.

So if you are foreigners I do NOT recommend that restaurant.

The shop. It is stated that it is opened until 21.00, so after a walk I decided to buy a few things. So we returned at about 20.30 but it was closed already. So you cannot rely on the opening hours.

Comfortabel campsite. we dont need much, so we were happy with everything that was offered. The showers are comfortable. The pitches are good. Location is great. We had a nice stay.

There were some campers who blocked our pitch with a giant bus. They didnt want to park there bus next to there pitch they wanted acces to there pitch by driving over our pitch. They were incredibly rude and left the owner no other option than to send them away.

They have a review with false claims about safety of the campsite. The campsite is safe. They have tons of space to drive through. And plenty of parking spaces. The campsite is protected by a gate with an entrance code.

This campsite is nicely situated in nature with a lot of trees and cicadas singing. It has a nice warm pool with enough sunbeds. When we arrived we could choose which pitch we wanted. Unfortunately the one with the best view hasn’t have the standard European electrically connection, which the other has. The showers and toilets are a bit rundown but it is clean which is most important. On the website it’s stated that it’s 500m to the lake and that it’s not right! It’s almost 1km. If WiFi is important for you, you should know it’s €20 for two days! To would get an extra star if they provided with toilet paper and soap on the toilet and free WiFi.
