Camping Locations Paradella — Hotel in Calvi

We were with friends and we were not pleasantly surprised. a 3-star camping that should have a maximum of 2. Concrete manholes covered with artificial grass are cracked in some places and you can fall into them, the filter in the pool has almost no filtering at all, it is not worth buying electricity because there are such voltage drops that even the phone cannot be charged , the lamps that illuminate the campsite are only in certain places and not all of them work, Ropes are placed on the road every 5 meters so that you can destroy the suspension in your car faster, and there is no access to water at the barbecue! The worst thing is that the owner confiscates your personal document as "security" for the duration of your stay. We live in the 21st century and you can scan or prepare the appropriate form to fill out and return my document! Of course, the owner does not know unless it is illegal to confiscate the document. After a few days, we found another 3-star campsite with the same price in Calvi because, as it turned out, most campsites have a website where you can check the price list and all of them look...

Ein im Hinterland von Calvi gelegener Platz, der eine sehr gute Alternative zur im August hoffnungslos überfüllten Küste bietet. Während man entlang der Nordküste auf Plätzen mit Strandzugang praktisch nur einen Platz bekommt, wenn man um 12 Uhr eincheckt und selbst dann dicht an dicht steht, bekommt man hier Platz, Ruhe und alle Annehmlichkeiten - bis aufs Meer natürlich. Wer auf das verzichten kann, ist hier durchaus sehr gut bedient.

Der Platz ist gross und schattig. Es gibt einen kleinen Mini-Markt mit dem allernötigsten (Brot, Bier, Wein Zahnbürste...:-), ein Restaurant und einen Pool. Selbst im August ist es hier angenehm ruhig. Im Vergleich zu anderen Plätzen im "Hinterland" ist hier aber alles tadellos in Schuss. Die Sanitäranlagen sind "Stand der Technik" in Korsika (also nicht ganz neu, wie zB in San Damiano), aber gepflegt, sauber und technisch einwandfrei (auch nicht überall Standard in Korsika). Der Flugplatz hat wenig Betrieb (heute 3 Flugzeuge) und die Straße ist nachts wenig befahren. Auf den Plätzen im hinteren Teil hört man die Straße auch nicht. An der Rezeption spricht der Patron auch fließend deutsch, wem das wichtig ist. Bar und Restaurant waren in Ordnung und preislich angemessen, auch wenn es keine Pizza gab. Ich fand das gut, aber viele Touristen mögen das vermissen. Es gibt, neben Fisch oder Muscheln, aber exzellente Bürger, Pommes und Salate.

Fazit: eine sehr(!) gute Alternative zu den, in der Hochsaison inzwischen hoffnungslos überfüllten Campingplätzen an der Küste. Ruhig, schattig, mit genug Platz und allen Annehmlichkeiten. Ein wenig Korsika, wie es früher einmal war. (Und wer bis hier gelesen hat, versteht...

€22 for 2 people and our small van. €5 for power which we didn’t get. €5 for washing machine, which we didn’t use. They have laundry sinks. Wifi only works at reception. Nice looking bar, nice pool with tall eucalyptus trees. Nice flat camp spots and clean, nice amenity building. Great location between Calvi and the forest of Bonifato natural pools
