Château de Moussoulens — Hotel in Carcassonne

We stayed in one of the apartments of Chateau de Moussoulens (Euric) for one week. It was a very pleasant stay because of the nice apartment and the beautiful surroundings. A trip to Carcassonne took only 20 minutes, the other trips (with teenage children) were one hour maximum. The Euric apartment is big, with high cealings and lots of windows. The apartment is on the first floor with no other apartment beneath, which was perfect because no one could hear us being noisy. It has 3 bedrooms (2 on the same floor als the living room, having big windows and 1 a floor higher, with no windows). Also we had our own kitchen with everything you might need at hand (incl a dishwasher), also a comfortable shower and a washing machine. The children played pool and ping-pong (in the chateau) a lot. It was an excellent stay at this chateau. But be aware of the bels of the church beside the chateau, they also work...

We stayed a few days at the end of August 2019. Our room was African jungle themed, the room and bathroom just newly renovated. Beautiful and very peaceful. The chateau owners are a lovely couple ready to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Bed is comfortable. I recommend highly to anyone wanting to get away from a modern building. Veryauthentic location. Several appartments within the old chateau of Moussoulens. Owners produce their own wine, but not on the site.
