I was very grateful to be able to get a room at this hotel at short notice during a busy holiday weekend when my partner was rushed into hospital the day we were due to fly home. The proprietors were very kind and understanding and allowed me to stay on a day by day basis as I didn't know how long I would need to be there. The rooms are basic but comfortable and the bathroom was good with a decent shower that didn't leak all over the floor as many do. The breakfast offered a good selection and was available until 10.30am. They serve dinner every evening until quite late and offer a small but good menu at a reasonable price. I ate there on the four evenings that I stayed and thoroughly enjoyed every meal. As other reviewers have mentioned, the hotel is not in a pretty location, but it is quiet although just off the main road/motorway and is only minutes from both Carcassonne and Trebes with a good sized car park. There is also a nice garden with terrace and swimming pool which many guests were enjoying using while...
Read moreStayed here before we flew home for the weekend from Carcasonne Airport. (Hotel about 15 minutes drive away)||||Found it a very pleasant experience, the new owners were lovely and tried very hard to please. We had a room with air con - much needed as it was hot throughout the night! Rooms are pretty basic, but are clean and comfortable - which is all you need really!||||Nice pool, plenty of loungers to chill out on and food was excellent both in the evening and suprisingly for a French hotel, breakfast was plentiful and nice too!||Locked parking too - ideal if you are travelling and using this as a stopover - we are certainly intending to do so again!||||It is a bit 'out of the way' I suppose, but if you have a car and don't mind the short journey it is well worth it.||||Oh yeah - it is a dog...
Read moreOur stay was exactly what we anticipated in a French 2*: quirky in the best way, with individual service and good, basic room facilities. Breakfast was an excellent buffet with some home made products and other items on which expense was not spared. We were also offered eggs. Definitely worth €9. The owner was running the place almost single-handed, and she was friendly and helpful (nice touches like the free ice cream when we were sat by the pool with a drink after 2200). Despite the industrial/main road surroundings, the outside space is nicely equipped with a variety of seating and space for children to play around the pool. Only negative is that are no restaurant or bar facilities on site at present: lots of good choices in the town, but a drive to eat is not always what is wanted at a...
