La Belle Eco — Hotel in Carcassonne

I came to La Belle Eco with a friend for a weekend without knowing too much about it and WOW what a weekend we had. The house and grounds speak for themselves in their beauty and tranquility but I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience and the new friends we made. Dinner is offered to eat with the owners/chef and other guests and it was such a wonderful evening where good conversation and wine flowed!

The eco pool is a lovely place to sit and be still, listening to the frogs and watching the dragon flies, it's hard to imagine ever going into a chlorine pool again! There is also a bar at the pool house for a sunset glass of wine or soft drink.

The fact that everything at La Belle Eco is eco is really something, you can tell the owners have taken a lot of care over and it feels really special and unique to be somewhere in tourism that cares so much about giving back to its surroundings.

I guess you can tell we fell in love with La Belle Eco, it really a magical place that helped recalibrate our fried city brains. We can't wait to go back and can't...

I was initially told about this amazing place from friends that had attended a wedding here. After a couple of barren years travel wise due to covid and a 5 month fiasco in a new passport arriving I couldn’t wait to get there and see what it was all about. I don’t usually do the whole stay in one place for too long due to the urge to move around and see more of a city/country but this place kept me plotted up due to its tranquil relaxed nature…The house and rooms have been refurbed and renovated to an exceptionally high standard and u can see a lot of love and research has gone into it. The owners and staff are kind and hospitable and have the nous to leave you to your own devises or u can have an evening of anecdotes and interesting conversation about the history of the house and the colourful lives of the owners themselves..the fact its so close to the town of Carcassonne is a bonus. All in all I highly recommend it and can’t wait...

We have lived in Koh Samui, Thailand for 20 years, and recently had the pleasure of staying for four magical days at La Belle Eco, owned by Ruby and Dimitri. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family. Our room was fit for a king and the breakfast, lunch, and dinner were amongst the healthiest and most delicious we have ever tasted.

La Belle Eco is a unique and luxurious property that perfectly blends history, nature, and sustainability. The private and bucolic domain was like paradise to us, and we felt deeply connected to nature and fully enjoyed the philosophy of French country living.

However, what really made our stay unforgettable, was the overwhelming kindness of Ruby and Dimitri. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and we have now become friends for life. We will definitely come back...
