We chose this place because we wanted peace and quiet and a rest from our very busy lives. We also wanted to be within relatively easy driving distance of all our favourite hill top villages for the unique Provencal markets and lovely restaurants. We stayed for two weeks and achieved all we had hoped for. Our hosts Evgenia and Benoit, who both speak excellent English, were a delight, Friendly and helpful without ever being intrusive. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful with homemade yogurt, fresh fruit, the best french bread, pastries and cakes and Evgenia's delicious home made jams. The only reason I have not given this place an excellent rating was because we had trouble with the drainage in the shower which frequently overflowed and despite efforts by the owners this problem was never really solved. Additionally their winery, next door to the chateau was in the process of being built and our view from the pool was marred by the building works and a massive crane. However this is unlikely to affect future guests. We would...
Read moreLovely, tranquil, comfortable and peaceful accommodation, ideally located to explore the Vaucluse area. Super kind, interesting and welcoming hosts who do their utmost to give guests a great stay. Surrounded by vines, there are ample places and lots of space to relax in without being on top of other guests. The chateau is beautifully restored with modern comforts and stylish interiors. We stayed in a lovely room overlooking the pool and the vines. The two doubles next to our, each looking out on the vines, looked equally comfortable and suitably spacious. Eugenie's meals were delicious and excellent value. The nearby town offers useful amenities and other options for meals. We visited at the start of the grape harvest and despite being busy Benoit spared time to talk to us about their...
Read moreWe (two couples and 4 children) stayed in Chateau MontPlaisir at the beginning of April for 5 days and were truly delighted with the Chateau and its owners - Evgenia and Benoit. The apartments we stayed in were spacious, clean and quiet - revealing the noble atmosphere of a French interior. The Chateau and the garden were also very appealing to children.||Breakfast was amazing and it was served with love and care by our hostess Evgenia. She is the loveliest lady I have ever met - always kind, vivacious and accommodating.||As for our host Benoit I can say that he made our stay even more interesting and memorable as he offered us a great selection of wines produced in their own winery (which one can visit by the way).||I strongly recommend the Chateau for an unforgettable vacation...
