Camping White Rock à Castellane dans le Verdon — Hotel in Castellane

We've stayed for 3 nights in our Van. The very sweet owners bought the campingground last year, they told us, and seem to live there, so it's open all year. Besides the camping itself they also have chalets. They are still improving and renovating the space, but its already gorgeous! The sight over small hills is very beautiful and its very quiet in the middle of nature. The Bathouse (Toilet and Shower) looks like a spa (we've been to a lot campinggrounds, but this is the prettiest by far!). There's a small playground for Kids and a Boule field. Its just a small hike to Castellane (about 2km), which is a very old and historic small town. It's also a good starting point for hikes and aquatic adventures in the Verdon...

We were lucky enough to breakdown in our campervan just outside Les Framboiseilles. Jerome and Sylvie were incredibly helpful and helped us to get back on the road to continue our holiday. We gladly spent a few days enjoying what Castellane has to offer including some lovely walks/hikes and delicious food in the spectacular setting. The campsite itself is picturesque and the facilities were perfect, within walking distance of the town. We plan to return in the future and spend some more time exploring Castellane and Verdon. Bella struttura dedicata dalla proprietaria totalmente agli ospiti. Lungo la strada ci sono due indicazioni su un pannello di legno che segnalano gli ingressi perché il terreno è così grande che, con la macchina, si può entrare da entrambe le parti. Chi arriva per il Camping con roulotte o simili credo possa entrare soltanto dall'ingresso che va direttamente nella tenuta. Ci sono due strutture molto vicine: una più rustica con pergolato e una 'palazzina' verde. Noi abbiamo dormito all'ultimo piano nella palazzina (non c'è l'ascensore ma le scale sono agevoli). La camera n. 4, con 3 letti singoli è arredata in modo semplice, è pulita e la finestra ha la vista sul grandissimo terreno. Il bagno è organizzato in un angolo della stanza: il gabinetto separato da una porta mentre la doccia e il lavandino sono racchiusi da una muratura. Asciugamani a disposizione. Al primo piano della palazzina c'è una grande zona adibita a cucina con grande tavolo e angolo relax. Sempre aperta a tutti gli ospiti, è perfettamente arredata di TUTTO (piatti, tazze, posate, pentole, tostapane, microonde, frigo, ecc) per poter preparare colazione/pranzo/cena ma dovete comprarvi il necessario da cucinare. Il posto è silenzioso e rilassante; comunque il paese di Castellane (assolutamente da visitare) è a circa 1 km con negozi e ristoranti. La proprietaria, sig.ra Cathy, è molto cordiale e disponibile anche al telefono per qualsiasi problema. Parla in modo molto capibile sia inglese che francese mettendo a proprio agio gli ospiti.
