We have loved it there and will deffinetly go back! Once you enter, you can let all your concerns at the gate, as you will be greated in a beautiful big yard, that can fill your energy barrel. You will see beautiful big trees, flowers and freshly cut grass. Our room(no 2) was a dbl+ extra-bed, very nicely decorated in a vintage and romantic way. I have appreciated many details like the doors, the little wardrobe and the descreet essential oils in the bathroom, the lamps and the ensamble of the place, that feels like somebody has put a part of their sould into the house. The owner, Renee was very nice to us and your 2.y.o (that still asks me about her). She has managed to exceed our expectations, also making an extra effort to accommodate us for breakast, taking into consideration our issue: we are allergic to cow's milk, butter and cheese. I wish I could complete this review. We had booked a room through an outfit called Booked.net who we had never heard of but who said they were a partner of Booking.com. We had the paperwork confirming our reservation but when we arrived (after a lengthy detour from Chateau Thierry) we found that no booking had been made and the hotel was full! Renee was most upset and spent ages looking for alternative accommodation for us. Sadly this meant returning via the same detour to Chateau Thierry. Onverwachts en een schot in de roos....||Omdat er iets mis gegaan was met de boeking van onze oorspronkelijk gekozen gastenkamer, diende we op de valreep 's avonds nog een onderkomen te zoeken. Net voor 19 u wanneer de eigenaresse de poort zou sluiten, vielen we in deze B&B binnen. En de goden waren met met ons: we troffen een prachtig gelegen huis in een grote tuin , een charmante eigenaresse, een fijne kamer en 's morgens een ontbijtje dat er mag zijn. Hier aten we trouwens zowat de lekkerste croissant ooit.|Charmel is een piepklein dorpje in een bosrijke streek en een paar kilometers verder beginnen de wijngaarden.
