Family of 4. Children aged 5 and 10. |We booked 'le Domaine de ker Ys' in Saint Nic, Brittany because we wanted a Marvilla brand site. We visited one last year in Saint Jean de Mont and it was fantastic. Full of life, activities, fun. ||We arrived on a very rainy Saturday at midday. The holiday advertises we can arrive early and use facilities. However we soon discovered there are very limited facilities. Nothing was open. Site shop closed, bar closed, local shop, closed. |Site shop opens 8-10 and 16.00-19.00. The site bar doesn't open daily until 5pm. |We couldn't even get a drink after an over night ferry trip. We checked in at 16.00. |This is NOT a lively site as advertised. ||You can make use of the local burger bar just outside. 'Mac Dans' Opens at different times. Its a bar as well as burgers/kebabs/fries and its CASH only. So not very French food wise! Not a mussle insight! ||At the pool there's no food or drinks allowed and lycra fitted swim shorts only! And a handy swimwear vending machine at €15 a piece if you don't have yoir own. The lifeguard won't let you in without them! Lots of sunbeds but no parasols. |Keep fit in the pool is with the lifeguard who demonstrates an exercise and leaves you to it. ||Kids club is french. All French. Registration form, French, animation team, French. Not a word of english spoken or understood. Our children tried it, they came away feeling isolated and scared unable to talk to the adult looking after them. I stayed for a while to try and translate but the leader showed no interest to interact with us. All children there were french speaking. They looked like they had a great time.||Accomodation was nice, roomy. Lovely outdoor space. No cooker, no toaster, no TV. No bbq allowed on site. You must use the sites bbqs in a designated area with everyone else. ||Local area- It's a little like ghost town. No shops, 1 little cafe' very few people around in Saint Nic. If weather is poor there is nothing to do. No swimming, no bar, no TV, no WiFi. It can get very isolating with bad weather. ||The beach is beautiful! All natural, no tourists, no facilities. Great rock pools. Nearest supermarket is 20 minute drive away. Monday there is a market outside the camp. We were so grateful for a bit of life in the town!!! ||A great place for walkers, cyclists, passing through travellers and French families. |Not 4star as euro camp advertises. Very different from our previous stays on other sites. It's not a cheaper holiday to book either! |St Malo for the ferry was a stunning place! Full of culture, great French food, buzzing atmosphere. ||We were there for 2 weeks and so disappointed. We didn't realise 2 Marvilla sites could be so different yet advertise similar facilities. |||Picture- This is the offered...

When we arrived, we were allowed to check in an hour early, thankfully, as we arrived early.
Pros
Little shop on site and a bar.
Swimming pool.
Great views towards the sea.
The beach is quite long and good for a walk. Great staff, very friendly.
Great views of the country side.
Cons
Loud noise at night from macdan and sometimes the onsite karaoke.
Avoid the cafe next door, barman was extremely rude check the reviews on Google. (The cafe is not associated with the park to my knowledge.)
Price of WiFi, we paid €60 for 14 days. The WiFi is slow and constantly disconnects. I would recommend an esim as it is cheaper and more likely to connect. €60 euros for Internet which barely works is not acceptable.
Lack of activities I assume due to the poor weather, this could not be helped.
Can get very cold in the caravan as there is only one heater to heat the entire caravan. However, staff provide heaters at reception we were told.
When we arrived there was no gas, the bottle was empty and had not been checked. We asked a staff member to resolve the issue and waited for approximately an hour. Tired of waiting, I asked a man who happened to be a techncian, and he sorted it out promptly.
The shower was hit and miss, too hot or too cold. The water ended up leaking from the bottom of the door and ran into the main living area which became extremely slippy. I assume this was due to the level of the caravan being off.
The washing machines and tumble driers would benefit from a card reader.
Recommend to bring a vehicle as it is difficult to get to places without transport.
Not the best place if your french is not the greatest, mine was passible. If you do not speak French, I would recommend a different place to...
Read moreWe stayed for two weeks in a comfort mobilehome. The space is enough for 4 persons and we felt comfy. |The only thing we didn't like so much was the mattress in the master bedroom, which was way too thin and soft for our liking.|The park itself offers a lot of services (playgrounds, laundry, shop, snack/drinks bar and pool). The pool is heated and watched by a life guard, but you have to accompany your kids at all times anyways (which is totally understandable).|The Shop offers a small choice of Souvenirs, groceries and you can pre-order pastrys/bread, which you can pick up the next day for breakfast. The Snack Bar is only open from late afternoon and offers good drinks and cocktails as well as Snacks, Pizza and weekly specials on different days (f.ex. BBQ on wednesday). Prices are fair.|We used the laundry once and I must say, this could use some more attention as is was quiet dirty with rubbish lying here and there. Otherwise the park is well kept and the pitches are a fair size.|The beach (with life guards) is right across the street, which is very convenient.|The park offers animation for kids and adults. As we didn't use this, I don't know, how good or bad it is.|The staff is always friendly and even though we don't speak french we had no issues at all to communicate. Everyone was helpful at all times. |We enjoyed our stay a lot and would like to come...
