Super overnight stay at the elegant chateau - we were a family of 4 and had 2 adjoining rooms upstairs.|Good - beautifully appointed elegant, with an air of faded grandeur, chateau. Rooms lovely tall ceilings and large. Shower/bathroom great size and lots of nice towels|Very quiet! Despite the occasional creaking boards, was actually very quiet as its in the middle of the countryside|No TV in the room (which can also be a downside for some, but not for us)|Great big garden/parkland for walks around the house|Lovely fresh breakfast in the morning from the superb host, with fresh bread, jams, yoghurt, cheeses and ham.. fresh coffee made for you - yum!|Wifi was fine too for the kids|Loads of free car parking and space|Downstairs lounge very attractive to drop in and have an apertif!||Not so good - no aircon (that I could see) in the room but it didnt matter to us|No keys to the room, which was a bit unsettling at first but we got used to it :)|English not great but to be expected, we are in France! We always enjoy staying in chateaux - some are great, some not so great, but this one is superb. A huge place with it's own chapel (in course of renovation!). We were welcomed by the owner and shown to our room, enormous with lovely ensuite. We had arranged to have table d'hote and were invited for an aperitif before dinner. My wife and I agreed that it was one of the best dinners we had eaten and breakfast the next morning was just as good too.||Very welcoming hosts, easy to talk to (if you can speak some French!) and at a very reasonable price. Can't wait to go...

2 superbes nuits passées dans la cabane suspendue "la rêveuse" à l'orée d'un bois. Les adultes sous les combles et 2 filles, de 9 et 13 ans, dans la salle principale. Attention à vos têtes si vous allez à l'étage, car c'est bas, mais on y va principalement pour dormir. Très bon accueil et présentation.
En vrac : WC et douche pour l'hygiène, les serviettes sont fournis, l'eau chaude est disponible de suite ; pour conserver notre nourriture, un petit frigo ; afin de réchauffer nos plats, des plaques, un mini four électrique, une bouillotte et une cafetière ; la vaisselle et les couverts sont présents ; un aspirateur pour faire le ménage ; un grand panier pour ranger les couettes et les draps des 2 chauffeuses pliables.
Le petit déjeuner placé dans un panier au bout d'une corde avec plein de bonnes choses. A nous de remonter le tout au matin et de découvrir les produits faits maisons et des produits locaux.
La décoration est très en accord avec le bois. On peut entendre légèrement le chant d'un coq, d'un paon et d'autres animaux aux alentours le matin.
Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour même s'il y avait quelques travaux de maintenance apparents avec des étais de soutien. La sécurité avant tout et nous n'avons pas eu peur,...
