This accommodation is special! The gardens and pool area are lovely and so peaceful, the interior spaces very comfortable and interesting - everything shows great attention to detail. James and Gilles are wonderful hosts - so friendly and warm, and eager to help out in any way. Our son caught Covid while there and they could not have been more understanding and helpful - even setting up a separate breakfast table in the garden for him! The breakfast was copious and delicious - fresh fruit, many pastries and bread, homemade jams, yogurt, etc. The location is great for exploring the gorgeous countryside, markets, and villages of the Brionnais, and for getting to larger sites such as Cluny or Macon. This guesthouse is the gem of the village called Bois-Sainte-Marie. Beautiful hause with a small Annex. We stayed in the main house with the owners. The beautiful decoration is reflecting the personalities of the owners. The room we stayed was having Asian touches with objects and art they brought from their travels. James and Gilles were great hosts and made us feel "at home". The breakfast is a French style (viennoiseries and bread) with hand-made marmalades and variety of fruits. The French style garden is a piece of art itself and incudes a small swimming pool which is perfect for the warm days! Overall is an ideal place for a relaxing break in the French country side. Incredible! This is the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at. James and Gilles have created a beautiful home, garden and atmosphere - a true inspiration for anyone interested in interior design! Every single detail in the house is carefully curated and the breakfast was equally perfect (fresh pastries, fruits and juice every day!)||They were such warm and welcoming people and made it feel more like a home rather than a hotel.
