Manoir de Malfarat — Hotel in Charolles

The room was out of this world we had the whole upper floor just for us two , the fittings and detail left nothing wanted, the reception was warm and we were given derails of restaurants and things to do in the area we were also told which restaurants were the best for food budget etc and we sampled two on the information they were very good and service was excellent and the price good, the owner was great very informal but nothing was a problem he wanted everything to be just so for our stay, breakfast was excellent with all fresh food produce and homemade jams. I would recommend anyone to stay here, for me it was one of the most laid back , homely, and friendly places I have ever stayed and would definitely return , I also think that for value for money you couldn't get better, the main town had everything you wanted, the use of the lake was yours so all in all a good location for a holiday , short break , and good for families. So definitely put this one on your short list ,and if you would like the experience of a chateaux you won't be disappointed right down to all the finishing decorations in the room it really was superb, only two rooms here so you either get the whole floor to yourselves or the bedroom downstairs which is the same size , oh and if you are a romantic the bed downstairs is a very very large...

We ie myself, husband and two dogs|Stayed here for two nights. The setting is picturesque, as guests we had access to the surrounding grounds which were delightful. The area exudes peace and tranquility. Our bedroom was very grand, containing some very expensive furniture... no less than 18 chairs could be found there. The host was charming and helpful, every attention to detail had been addressed. Clean towels and robes each day, clean bedding linen no less! "Highly recommended" doesn't quite capture the experience. This property sits on a stunning piece of land, with a beautifully designed house that feels like stepping into a museum—there’s so much to admire.
