Château De La Rolandière — Hotel in Chinon

This is a great site for an over night stopover either on the way down south or returning up north. It is situated not far from the main route up towards Tours. The site is clean, set in some very nice grounds and has a small swimming pool. The toilets and shower blocks are unusual, but once again clean and plenty of hot water. There is also a small play park area, bar and snack area. On the day we were here, there was a 'burger van' on site during the evening which provides some basic meals. Had an overnight stopover here in our touring caravan. Breaking the journey from the south. It was a lovely site with a very typical relaxing French feel. The chateau was beautiful with a lovely bar area overlooking the pool. Would definitely use as an overnight in the future. The showers weren't the best but usable. A wonderful place to stay. Chateau De La Rolandiere is a wonderful place to stay. The camping sites are spacious, and the facilities for washing up, laundry and showers are well appointed. The wider facilities of the campsite are also great - the swimming pool, kids play area, outdoor seating for the bar, and outdoor 'games room'. And the welcome is incredibly warm.
