Chateau de Londigny — Hotel in Confolens

The Chateau des Chevaliers de Londigny is a beautiful building in a stunning setting. The rooms are clean and imaginatively decorated so why my 3* rating? Because there are NO food or drink-making facilities on the premises. You are left alone with no way to make tea or coffee. At breakfast I asked the owner Kevin why and he said that French guests will not stay for breakfast if they can make coffee in their rooms. Myself and my husband just had a very lovely stay at Chateau de Londigny. The room was beautifully decorated with really welcoming and sufficient amenities. We had a very peaceful sleep and the host gave us such a lovely welcome and we were spoiled with a cocktail at 3:30 pm, with an added, and very special tour around the property. We spent a few nights at Chateaux de Londigny and this 15th Century castle is simply superb. Our hosts were wonderful and the breakfast was scrumptious. Each day felt like living a fairytale. The property is vast and there are numerous beautiful villages / places of interest to visit and enjoy.
