Château de Vieux Moulin — Hotel in Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire

Wonderful beds, charming staff, and an amazing restoration of this castle. We traveled with our friends and both rooms were immaculately clean, had Frette linens, comfortable (firm) king beds, and a relaxing park-like grounds perfect for our evening walks.||Breakfast was delicious, with many options from delicious, homemade Bircher’s muesli and jams to local cheeses, meats,and eggs. Fresh coffee and juice were both perfect!||We absolutely recommend the Chateau De Vieux Moulin to anyone looking for a few days in a fairytale castle. Looking forward to a return during our nexts...

We had an amazing stay at here … we stayed 2 nights in the beautiful large suite together with our 3 kids who were totally in love with this place as well! Breakfast was great, almost everything homemade and very delicious! Same for the dinner… everything made with love and a lot of efforts and very delicious! Big credits and respect to the owners Celine and Gabriel to create/ rebuild such an amazing castle and give people the opportunity to enjoy the medieval castle spirit! Merci beaucoup! Why stay at a chain hotel when just a little bit further from the road you can stay in a château ??? We had a very warm welcome from the owners, enjoyed staying in a room which seamlessly blended historic majesty with modern comfort (best shower ever, convenient plugs), took a walk through the grounds, and my son loved the swing and very long slide. From here it's an easy drive to Pouilly sur Loire home of the Puilly Fumé wine, to Sancerre and their wine, as well...
