My wife and I enjoyed a most comfortable and pleasant stay of six nights at this lovely establishment.|My wife has limited mobility, and so we booked the ground floor Berlioz room which is situated on the corner of the property, with dual aspect french doors, one we used as our entrance, the other leading to our terrace, just outside our room, with a small table and chairs.|Our hosts, Evelyne & Michel, couldn't have been more hospitable, with a warm welcome, and whilst we each had a quite limited grasp of each others language (mine being school French of 1966 vintage), we managed to communicate quite well with the help of Google Translate!|Our room was superb. It was very spacious, with a large comfortable bed, a sitting area in one corner with two tub chairs and a small table. The walls are adorned with various pictures decorations and antiquities. There is plenty of hanging space along with shelving within a wardrobe.|The bathroom is a gem. Knowing my wife was disabled, a stool was provided for use while showering, the shower being a combination unit, with fixed head and hand held, each controlled independently.|The guest sitting and dining rooms are a delight, with lots of pictures, ornaments antique furniture and interesting objets d'art.|Breakfast consisted of croissants, breads, configures, yogurts, fruit, cheese, etc, and a bottomless coffee pot. Everything you could possibly want.|The whole place is an absolute delight, and my wife and I have no hesitation in giving it the highest of recommendations. If your visiting in the Premery area, then don't even think about it, just book this lovely Chambre d'hote La Chateliere, you won't be disappointed.|Thank you Evelyne & Michel, we hope to...
Read moreWe have nothing but praise for this establishment and its wonderful hosts!|Despite the language barrier, we spoke very little French, but understood a little and they vice versa, we managed OK.|The room was clean and fresh and the owners are obviously very proud of their establishment and rightly so. Our dog was welcomed with open arms and walks suggested. |The first night we ate in the towm. Breakfast was fabulous with lots of food from the region. On the second night, we were offered an evening meal to share with a group of Belgian guests, which we accepted. |Evelyn our host cooked a four course meal, fit for a King and Michel provided local wines to try. They were sooo attentive!|Fortunately for us the Belgian guests spoke perfect French, English and their native Flemish, so a good night was had by all with only minimal 'Brexit' discussion 🤣.|We would highly recommend this establishment ... maybe download Google...
