Château de Bouelles — Hotel in Dieppe

Our entire family of 14 stayed at Chateau de Bouelles at the end of July for my mother's 80th birthday. Ages ranged from 5 to 80. We had the best time and the setting was absolutely perfect for a special occasion and for a large family gathering.

The house had the perfect level of grandeur without being too smart so we felt we could relax rather than worry about breaking anything. We felt we were in the middle of nowhere so could leave doors unlocked and children could be loud and unsupervised but we were also 5 mins from shops so it was very convenient.

There was so much to keep everyone occupied without leaving the property - the pool, tennis court, billiards, table tennis, lawns for croquet and badminton, a gym, beautiful grounds to explore. It was fabulous! The accommodation was very spacious with 10 double bedrooms all en-suite across 2 spacious floors. We loved the high ceilings and chandeliers. The views were just breathtaking.

We were very well looked after by Capucine and Serin who answered all our questions very quickly and who were on hand if needed (but everything was perfect and we didn't need them at all). The house was clean and the beds very comfortable.

All in all - the perfect getaway for our family...

We spent 3 days with friends at this beautiful Chateau. The chateau is located approx. 2½ hours from Paris (by car) and with a nice view of the Normandy nature with forests and rolling hills. The rooms and chateau is in general decent shape but it has lots of charm and the park/garden including ponds and maze is nicely kept. Bring your own tennis rackets and balls as the rackets in the chateau are vintage ones with wooden frame! The chateau is filled with the most amazing crystal lamps and decorations. For foreigners, I recommend combining a stay with a visit to the west coast with many historical sites (including Omaha beach). It is really worth a visit and we will come back again for a...
