We’ve here before a couple of years ago, thought it was really cute because their rooms were very well decorated. Our husbands like to do the Paris - Dieppe on the bike once a year and it was the ideal stop. However, when we arrived after 17h we got 1 nice room & other room was the owners with their personal stuff still around the room. It was not for sure bigger but certainly not cute at all. It was like staying at your grandma’s house and she let you have her room. It was weird to say the least. It’s not cool to book in advance & then give our room to someone else. As we later saw that our names had been crossed off for a normal guest room. We assumed that they overbooked and the other guest who arrived earlier than us probably did not want that room and took ours. Honestly the experience was not the same. There were no blind or curtains in the bathroom so basically anyone outside could see you naked at night.|The next morning was definitely weird when we came to pay. The owner had the audacity to ask me to pay the same price as my friend. My friend’s cute guest room was 185€ and mine was €155. She said that the breakfast was not included so it was an extra 30€ for my friend but because the owner thought she was so smart, she said, oh well I’ll make it €185 for the both rooms as if she did us a favour. I fail to see that it was in my favour at all. I pay the same as my friend for room that was not for guests and the whole experience was to say the least disappointing. So when you do end up in the chateau, make sure you ask them that it is not the overbooked and you won’t be stuck with their private room with all their...
Read moreAn absolute gem. I was looking for a place to stay as I had to attend a wedding nearby. So I booked the chateau without any expectations and… I was blown away. We arrived late and the host was having dinner with guests. She offered us dinner with delicious homemade cooked fish, and amazing apple pie with the fruit from the castles and a mouth watering cheese platter. The room was really spacious and the attention to detail and quality of the materials made it a really luxurious stay. The breakfast was amazing, all homemade food and fruits and jam from the castle itself. Definitely a place I will recommend and...
Read moreWe had a wonderful get away to kickoff our summer holdiay. Adeline and Xavier are such wonderful people who make you feel right at home. The breakfast is not to be missed :homemade jams, homemade ice cream, fresh eggs from their chickens, and plenty of choices as well. Our child enjoyed the garden, the trampoline, and picking fresh fruits from the trees. There's a cinema room, gym and pool table. Ping pong, jungle gym for toddlers and bicycles to explore the grounds. Visit the quaint villages nearby or sleep in the hammock. This is a quick jaunt from Paris and is on the way to Deauville. We will return...
