Ferme Para Loù — Hotel in Digne-les-Bains

We arrived here earlier than planned but the owner was nice enough to let us check in even earlier. We booked one night with breakfast and what a lovely surprise we had when we arrived. The owner, so lovely! She walked us through the property (stunning), showed us activities we could do around there, showed us to the sitting area and our bedroom. She was so welcoming and even on our leave she explained to us so much about their honey bussines and the area, we had to fly back home which was a shame because I would'vegot me some honey, it was so good! She recommended us what to visit and where to eat and she was so right about it. Absolutely gorgeous interiors, the sitting area was so calm and the terrace was even more so. The bedroom was perfect size, simply decorated but in good taste with a perfect sized bathroom with the sink outside in the bedroom. The only downside to the bedroom I could say it was the bed: wasn't the most comfortable but for one night, it was enough for us two. Super quite, so no issues with noise. The breakfast! Let me tell you, it was the BEST breakfast we've had the entire week we spent over in France. Reading through the reviews everyone seems to comment on the lovely breakfast and it's all so true! Serving homemade honey, marmalade and pastry, delicious. I didn't want to have to leave! The fields are full of lavender that they use to produce their own products which is just absolutely amazing! The views! Just what your heart needs.

I would honestly recommend this stay a million times! It was perfect. If I could give it more than 5...

Lovely plot with an amazing scenery and extremely clean rooms as well as good facilities . However , the owner ( lady ) is extremely rude and unprofessional . We were let to use the kitchen to dine and were asked to clean and tidy after ourselves . Which I happily did ! ||Next morning, during breakfast I encountered the owner ( lady) asking if kitchen was cleaned good enough !? Owner stated that there were two oven gloves in the kitchen last night before she let us use it . After few minutes of continuous debate related to missing oven glove , she accused me of stealing it ! When I absolutely shocked left and sat in the car ready to leave , my husband found the glove being taken by one of the other guests and returned ! ||Needless , to say our experience of Gorge , was not ruined by this bizarre and groundless accusations ! Would not recommend to visit hotel for those who want to relax and not being reminded about keeping rooms and other facilities to keep clean as well as those who have families as children might misplace or accidentally do something that owner might not be happy...

We just returned from a week long stay in the Bergerie section of the property. Although multiple families can share the common areas, pool, pétanque, hammocks, you never feel overwhelmed by another’s presence. The house is well appointed with quality details and thoughtful furnishings. We stayed with another couple and their children and had ample space. ||||The property is located across the street from lavender fields - it must be heaven in July. As is, I laid around the pool breathing in the scent of rosemary which wafted up the hills. ||||The lake is just below the property - about a 20 minute walk with good shoes. The view is glorious as you can see the variations in blue in the water below..||||The owners are interested and helpful. It’s nice being able to share their space. They have clearly taken care to create a lovely environment of which they can be justifiably proud.||||I would go back in...
