domaine de laurolie — Hotel in District of Dax

A very nice hotel run by two very kind and friendly people. We were on a long drive from Portugal to Dieppe and just happened across this place. It was late on a Sunday night and there was nothing doing in Orthez. So we took a chance and headed in to the countryside and just rang the bell on arrival. We hadn't booked as experience told us it was almost impossible to get a room late on a Sunday evening in France. But we had the nicest welcome and were more than happy with the room. The price was very reasonable and included a good quality breakfast. We were up early so didn't have a chance to try the pool, but it looked very inviting and the whole setting was peaceful and lush countryside. The owners told us they had only just taken over the place and they were doing a great job, we wish them all the very best...

We booked last minute for one night as during our journey from Valencia my partner had a back injury and we wouldn't make it to our destination. We were attracted by the location and the price. Thanks to it we get to stay in this beautiful Domaine and we loved it.

Upon arrival, we were nicely surprised with an upgrated room. More spacious, the room had a big double bed, a big bunk bed and a private bathroom.

The BREAKFAST (included) was so delicious with lots of choices: Croissant, pain au chocolat, artisanal bread and jams, cereals, yougurt, appel and orange juice, milk and coffee.

At the moment of departure we noticed that our car was out of battery (I guess our car didn't wanted to leave neither). Laurie et Olivier were so helpful and helped us to charge our battery.

A fantastic B&B hotel with the greatest and kindest people. 100% recommend it. We were on our way to paris and decided to stay a night on the road, although it was really late they answered and before we arrived sent us videos and and pictures of the available rooms. Everything was perfect , clean and beautiful. The breakfast was already on the table when we went down. The cheese were fantastic and organic and the bread, hot and fresh out of the bakery oven.
