This is a tale of 2 weeks. First of all let me state what we paid. Around 970E for the two week stay. It was the most expensive site of our 3 month tour. We appreciated that we stayed in high season but expected a fantastic stay. Unfortunately for the first week we didn’t. We had paid for an XXL pitch with electricity, water and drainage. We were shown to a field. Our facilities point was quite a way from our pitch. Not to worry as we have very long cables. The problem came on the first night when folks arrived for a one, two or 3 night stay and everyone was rammed onto this area. This happened every day. There were not enough points for everyone. Indeed the main post had around 8 electricity outlets and the owners had to provide “splitters” and extension leads for nearly 100 meters! We had people arriving and unplugging our electric and water outlets. There were a few confrontations when we put ours back in. We did mention this to the site to ask them to tell anyone arriving to leave our electric and water alone. It honestly became like staying in an Aire with everyone cramped in fighting for space. It was not relaxing at all. You couldn’t sit outside in the evening and enjoy your meal as it was like being in a car park with everyone on top on you. We looked around the site daily to see if there were any suitable pitches we could move to but unfortunately there wasn’t. At the start of the second week we found a pitch that was empty and moved on to that. From then on it was like being on a different site. We were in a small cul de sac so had no one driving past us all the time with our own services and hedges separating the pitches. This was more like it. The second week was great. On arrival we were asked for our passports. This is the first time in 7 years visiting France that we have been asked for them. Not a problem but strange. We were given no information about the site or the area. Indeed when we asked for a map we were shown to the front window and told to take a photo! We were given a leaflet with rules and instructions on - eg not to hang washing lines between trees. However everyone appeared to ignore this, so it’s obviously not enforced. The pool and pool area is very small for the size of the site. For A 4* site it could do with a general tidy up. We saw no maintenance in the time we stayed. You are given cards which allow you two 5 minute showers a day. Not a problem for us as we used our own. The facilities block is quite a walk from the grass field. There aren’t enough for the amount of people on site and they could do with being modernised. They are clean. The dump point is right near where people are washing up! The reception is closed from mid day until 3pm. Summary. The first week 1* to 2 *. The second week 3* to 4* (mainly because we were self contained within our camper.) It may have been different if we wanted to use the facilities and the pool. Overall 2* taking into account the cost and other issues mentioned.

This site is spoilt by many issues. The showers are operated by a key card. Two showers were defective, and the remainder were unreliable. On one occasion, just one shower worked. Water is limited to six minutes per shower and visitors are only allowed 2 showers per day. The shower block nearest our pitch was closed for the season resulting in a lengthy walk. There are no toilet seats. Staff explained that seats had been damaged by previous visitors and were not being replaced. A lack of toilet seats is a health hazard and, therefore, unacceptable. During our 3 night stay, our motorhome was infested with ants living in the all grass pitch. I found them crawling up the electrical connection cable and entering the motorhome through the leisure battery compartment. I stuffed a paper towel around the cable entry point as a temporary measure. The grass was far too long in the area and at our pitch on arrival, resulting in wet feet after the morning dew. Motorbikes with very loud exhaust systems travel up and down the main road outside the site at most times of the day, including early morning. Staff did provide us with bus passes on arrival. This allowed us to travel to Biarritz and Bayonne free of charge over 2 days; this was very much appreciated. It takes around 40 minutes to get to Biarritz and 15 minutes to Bayonne. Both areas are well worth a visit. Due to the many problems at this site, we will not return.

This campsite is not easy to review. On the one hand the site is beautiful well kept, good size plots, grass. Great adventure area for kids small games room and table tennis table. The campsite has a pool, it is not too big with an outside and inside area. 2 slides on the outside. One shower block, this was kept clean. No toilet seats. The price of the campsite was the most astonishing thing €75 for one night. We asked why we had to pay a €30 administration cost, they explained it was we booked it on the internet ON THEIR SITE, and we should have booked it directly with them over the phone. I find this strange when most places are booked over the internet now. Still I find €40 for one night with electric quite expensive.

Stayed her for a fortnight with family whilst daughters competed in oceanperf surf lifesaving in mid August.||We are use to very crowded sites at this time of the year so what a suprise to find space, piece and quiet!|Pitches large and green. Plenty of water and hook ups.|Toilets always seemed clean whatever time of day so no complaints there.|The toilets are mixed gender as are most of France unless frequented or owned by the Dutch campers.|Toilet roll supplied 😊|Bread can be ordered night before by writing on wall by bar.|Nice bar and restaurant with basic food served. Closes very early for France, latest we see it open was 10.30 but suits us!|No entertainment of an evening ofr themed evenings which often happen on these sites.|Clean spacious pool lots of sun beds. Never busy no lifeguard so relaxed and parent policed 😉|Very friendly owners who show you to pitch.|Barrier closed around 11pm so no late night car door banging. Plenty of secure parking for late night outings.|Gardens and planting a treat.|We drove to coast in capbreton each day which is a 20-25 min drive although local beach is lovely and 10mins away. It was worth the drive to avoid the large cramped pitches on nearer sites.||The site is very green and we seemed to hv a shower of rain each day but this just freshened the air. It was in 30s so welcome relief!|My younger daughter attended the children's club which was art and craft based which she enjoyed practising her french each day.|I think this will be a site we return to each year.|Only two comments for owners please please provide soap to wash hands ! Such a basic thing but such a necessary requirement in this day and age. France seems to be a bit behind on this.|Secondly please repair spring on pool gate 😉.|A real gem thank you and see you...
