This is NOT a campsite for caravans, especially not large British caravans. There is NO drinking water on site and nowhere to empty waste and no tap. My husband has an HGV licence and has manoeuvred our twin axle caravan on many difficult campsites, but even we got stuck and would have ripped off the bottom of our caravan. Thanks to the lovely people that have static caravans on the site who all came to help us, we managed to dislodge our caravan. I absolutely do not recommend this site for those touring caravans. At the entrance to the pitches, often there are trees making the aperture smaller. There is a one way system in place but the road is narrow, uneven and steep. We arrived on a Sunday when the office is closed - it took about ten minutes for someone to arrive and check us in. There are two pools, which are nice and the sun beds were really comfy but only 24 beds between two pools, which in August when busy, would not have been enough. The site itself is well established with plenty of shade from trees. We didn’t go to the restaurant as it was end of season and hardly open. Good recycling area and sinks for pot washing but disabled toilets locked and whilst the wasing block was lovely, there were so many more showers than the two toilets that were there. Too many issues for us to return in terms of access but the site needs to be tidied up too, very shabby. Really lovely residents in static caravans but too difficult for a...
Read moreJust returned from 10 days here. Stayed in an owners mobile home with excellent comfort and facilities. Location of campsite good, small private pitches and 2 good pools, not a lot of sunbeds, but pool areas small so can’t really change that. Staff all friendly, our teenagers used the tennis courts and very small games room to play pool. Restaurant and bar good for coffee/ drinks but doesn’t open until 11.30 am. Food in restaurant not great, poor quality/value, had steak which was awfully fatty, only 1/3 meat, other food was frozen, not freshly made, shame as staff are lovely but we didn’t eat there again. If you’re in a mobile home near the top of the site be warned, there is very loud karaoke in the small bar almost every night until 2am, despite there being signs in campsite saying quiet after 11 pm- it is not! We thought it was just weekends but had a couple of nights respite from it only in 10 days. Even our teenagers were annoyed by the constant noise, plus you have people coming back after it had finished, talking/ shouting outside- not good if you have small children or an early drive the next day! So if you want to stay here I suggest staying near the bottom, you’ll have a walk up the hill but a better nights sleep maybe. The area of Frejus and St Raphael are lovely with a good selection of bars and restaurants and lots of beaches nearby and a good...
Read moreDuring my recent visit to le dattier I have had an amazing time. I stayed in a mobile home with my girlfriend and have had no complaints at all. The campsite is not loud at night which meant for completely silent nights undisturbed meaning a fresh wake and ready for the day ahead. With that being said the facilities from the pool, bar, showers and location being great we were able to enjoy and relax during our stay. The site is located in what we found was a good central location from all the activities all the activities. This meant that we were close to a local supermarket which made purchasing goods for use at our mobile home super easy. All the activities we decided to do such as, beaches, water parks , local towns, and st Raphael, were all within 30 minutes of the site which was a great result. On top of this the food served on site is absolutely exceptional and couldn’t be any better. The staff on site are very friendly and will tend to every need. With all that being said I couldn’t recommend this place enough and would encourage anybody to visit as I have enjoyed my stay and couldn’t ask for anything...
