Camping La Pierre Verte — Hotel in Draguignan

Having left it a little late in early 2018 we set about the task of finding sites near Frejus in the South of France for our main touring Summer holiday. We quickly found many sites including our usual choice Castels were already booked, so ended up having to book two sites, effectively splitting the holiday. We confidently booked Domaine Du Colombier as it was a 5 star site for seven nights (This sadly was a massive disappointment as per my review) we then set about finding another site for the remaining 7 nights and stumbled across Camping La Pierre Verte, which is a real diamond of a site. Reception is easy to access on arrival even with a sizeable rig i.e. 4x4 and twin axle caravan. Very helpful and friendly welcome and led to our pitch. The site is not huge so easy to get your bearings. Pitches came with EHU, water and drainage, they do differ in size so worth clarifying details before arriving but our was adequate for caravan, awning/canopy and car parking. Facilities are kept lovely and clean and positioned well to service all of the touring areas, with good toilet cassette cleaning cubicles. The Pool is lovely and lifeguards friendly but observant, the real gem is the lagoon. The lagoon is beautiful, you can hire beds or take towels etc but the sand is white and fine and the water turquoise. There is a lovely little bar selling drinks and cocktails at the lagoon side and even an area to have a massage. I can honestly say the lagoon was never over crowded and we went in August, they do not allow toys i.e. doughnuts or balls to be used in the lagoon. The lagoon is nestled right near the touring area so a short walk only is required to arrive there as is the pool area only another 50 feet or so further down the hill. There are decent play areas for kids and whilst our Son is older there seemed great activities being put on for kids in the clubs. There is also tennis courts and a basketball area. The Take away was good with options not just the usual pizza which so many sites think is acceptable and the restaurant whilst we didn't use it was given great reviews by other touring families onsite. The only slight disappointment and why I have dropped a star from my review is the shop. The staff are really friendly and prices reasonable but due to size the stock inside is a little limited and there is not a cold fridge offering cold drinks i.e. beers or wine. This however is not the end of the world as there are good Aldi and Intermarche supermarkets within about five miles from the site, well stocked and reasonable. All in all I would definitely stop at this site again and if they could only improve the shop size and available food and drink onsite it would have been a 5 star review from me...

We stayed here in August 2 adults and a teenager, well what an absolute find, this site is fantastic. From the minute you arrive every single member of staff is there to help with smiling faces and superb customer service. We have a large twin axle but had checked prior to booking they could cater for us. They have a variety of pitches and we chose a fully serviced pitch, water drainage and electric next to the showers which was a great size. Showers and toilets were always clean and the staff worked hard to keep them immaculate, only niggle was sometimes the water was not always hot, it was hot and miss on the day. The site has a great pool, play area, restaurant and takeaway, but the star of the show on this site is the lagoon. Wow turquoise water white sands, cocktail bar on the beach, we never went to the beaches in frejus for our first week we stayed at the lagoon, it was just perfect. The wifi on site which we paid for was excellent and never let us down, other sites should take note. Takeaway was good value and decent portion sizes, people in the shop were lovely, but to be honest the shop could be better, this is a large site and the shop didn't have a lot of fresh fruit veg meat etc for bbq which was a shame but there is a lidl and intermarche and a casino geant about 5 minutes in car.|Would I recommend this site absolutely yes and would we come back definitely. Nous sommes venu en juillet avec le réseau Passerelle. Le cadre du camping est très agréable. Le Lagon est superbe. J’ai trouvé dommage de devoir payer les transat autour du Lagon. Nous avons donc choisis l’option serviette sur le sable. Étant en situation de handicap avec enfant en situation de handicap, nous avons trouvé que l’emplacement n’était pas adapté. Les montées et descente sont raide et en fauteuil roulant , poussette c’est très compliqué. Pour les enfants qui sont très fatigable c’était très contraignant donc nous avons dû faire tout nos trajets en tout en voiture ce qui est dommage. L’année prochaine pour les familles du réseau passerelle, un emplacement dans les bas, du côté du mobil home PMR où était le réseau passerelle serait plus adapté. Piscine beaucoup trop froide 23 degrés les enfants ont attrapé une otite. Le maintien à une température à au moins 26-27 serait bien. Je n’ai jamais vu un jaccuzzi aussi froid. Impossible d’y entrer et de se détendre car pas chauffé. Il y a un toboggan pour les enfants mais l’eau est gelée. Le tour est vite fait il faut prévoir des jeux pour les occuper à la piscine. Il y a aussi les activités et animations dans la journée qui sont bien. Par contre tout était très propre et ça c’était appréciable car tous les camping n’est le sont pas. Concernant le mobil home color 6 nous avons eu des problèmes d’eau chaude toute la semaine c’était très agaçant, nous l’avons signalé mais le problème n’était pas résolu. Pas de bol non plus ce n’était pas pratique pour les enfants au petit déjeuner. Ce mobil home manque vraiment de rangements dans la partie séjour également... Le soir c’était vraiment trop bruyant jusqu’à minuit passé. On entendait la musique et c’était vraiment trop fort. Peut être la musique du camping à côté ? Les activités proposées étaient très bien et le club enfant également. Le restaurant était bien également. Les Store occultants vraiment un plus ! Au bar de la piscine il manquait souvent des produits et le personnel avait l’air « blasé » et n’était pas très souriant. En revanche, personnel très accueillant et sympathique au bar du Lagon. Je remercie l’accueil de m’avoir permise d’acheter des jetons pour la machine à laver sur place n’ayant pas monnaie. J’ai dû insister car mon fils en situation de handicap était épuisé par la marche à faire au sein du camping et je trouve dommage qu’il n’y ait pas cette possibilité pour tous. Si nous n’avons pas de monnaie il faut sortir du camping pour aller retirer de l’argent à quelques km. Il faut beaucoup marcher pour arriver d’un point à un autre dans le camping. Pour les personnes en situation de handicap ce n’est pas adapté. Nous avons tout de même passé une bonne semaine grâce au réseau passerelle et nous étions triste de devoir partir. C’était notre première fois sur la cotes d’azur et nous avons beaucoup aimé la région et les paysages. Camping avec un très bon potentiel mais des choses à...
