La Prairie — Hotel in Draguignan

I travelled with my family including 3 young children in August. The staff were lovely from the start, very friendly and helpful. At first glance the campsite appeared nice, tidy and the pitches were of good size, the pool area had much to offer and the restaurant was good with the staff there happily accommodating our veganism.||||HOWEVER the toilet and shower block was appalling! Extremely outdated with damaged stained walls and cracking paint. Some of the showers dripped instead of showering,(none of them worked properly) even after repeatedly pushing the button, taking an age to try to wash and clean the hair of 3 children. There was often urine on the floor surrounding the unisex toilets which was a big open bowl with no seat. I had to put my 3 year old back into nappies as he wouldn't use the toilet and to be honest I didn't want him to. There was no facilities for waste water or chemical toilet so we couldn't use our own, (we were told we would have to put it in our car and take a 10 minute drive to dispose of it!!). We had to buy shoes specially for the showers as we didn't want our feet in contact with the grubby floor. Often we would find teenagers in the shower block throwing water balloons at each other and generally being a nuisance. We were told stories by other travellers of much drunkenness and even vomiting around the restaurant in the evening, luckily we didn't witness that directly. The toilets for the pool were equally disgusting, except to enter these you had to walk through a pool of grotty water and old toilet roll, the children hated visiting the toilets and shower block and this tainted our holiday.||The staff were consistently friendly but try as they might there was nothing they could do, the facilities were severely outdated and quite honestly need tearing down, updating would not be enough, many of the guests were disrespectful to the already lacking facilities and towards other guests. séjour à 4 en juillet 2021 Points positifs: les rues sont bétonnées la vue dégagée de notre mobil home la gentillesse du personnel technique. le parc aquatique pour les grands et les tout petits. la climatisation dans le mobil home Vaisselle en quantité Points négatifs: -Accueil pas aimable, la patronne était un coup très agréable et souriant, un coup pète sec. Elle a menti à un client devant nous en affirmant que le camping était complet et qu'elle nous pouvais pas accéder à sa requête alors que plein de mobil home étaient inoccupés! -Mobil home d'un autre âge (année 90?), vétuste, qui n'est pas posé à plat et les portes ne tiennent pas certaines positions, le fonctionnement de l'eau chaude est particuliers et difficile d'accès et réussir à avoir une douche chaude tout le long est impossible, la vaisselle posé à même le sol dans les placards du bas, pas très hygiénique, les "grillages" de ventilation cassés, le dessous du frigo qui était dégoutant et sale (crasse jamais enlevé tellement il y en avait) Des rats dans le camping! on les voit passer d'un arbre à un toit de mobil home, les voisins concerné les entendent gratter dans le plafond, ils l'ont signalé à l'accueil qui est intervenu, devant nous, en coupant les branches qui touchaient la toiture.. Du coup ils étaient toujours là! intervention très insuffisante! Animation légère, ça manque de Peps (là ou un animateur performant arbitrerai le match de water polo en faisant du spectacle, parlant fort, félicitant les personnes qui marquent pour mettre l'ambiance, là on avait deux "animatrices" qui avaient le mérite d'avoir installé les buts et sorti le ballon et sifflait quand il y avait un but, mais sinon discutait à voix basse comme si elles étaient timide et n'osaient pas prendre ce rôle d'animateur en main) Maitre Nageur qui veille au grain, mais on a vu un enfant vomir par terre, la dame est allée le signaler, ils étaient sensé venir nettoyer, on est parti 1h15 plus tard et personne n'était venu nettoyer… La mère a fait le pied de grue pour que personne ne marche dessus et a fini par l'entourer de transat pour pouvoir faire autre chose qu'attendre! -Camping qui manque d'entretien, se ressent à différents endroits, les habitués le disent (pourtant les prix des locations annuelles montent d'année en année et a même fait un bon de 30% juste parce que le domaine était bétonné, la encore la satisfaction baisse). Parallèlement à ça, les propriétaires se sont fait construire une sublime propriété qui trône en plein milieu du camping, tel un château, tout le monde la voit, ça contraste tellement avec les alentours laissés à l'abandon et ça nous donne l'impression d'être dans une autre classe sociale face à un étalage d'argent… Gros point négatif! -La fermeture non prévenue de la piscine le samedi matin, sans que personne ne sache nous dire à quelle heure on pourra y accéder, pour cause de nettoyage hebdomadaire… Là ou d'autres camping font ça la nuit avec succès, eux, c'est le samedi matin! On est à la limite du scandale et visiblement un vent de révolte se préparait car les autres vacancier en parlaient et étaient dans le même état d'esprit que nous, dans le même état de stupéfaction. Ils ont finalement rouvert la piscine à 11h30, désamorçant la bombe qui se préparait, là encore sans prévenir personne… On devait être devin sur ce coup là. -Le mobil home choisi avait une chambre double et une chambre avec deux lits simples. on a précisé à la résa qu'on était en couple avec deux enfants en bas âge dont notre lit bébé. Quelle surprise à notre arrivée de voir que la chambre avait encore deux lits simple (espacé de seulement 50cm!) ne pouvait pas accueillir notre lit bébé car chambre minuscule et lit trop rapprochés. à la réception pour préciser notre problème, on nous dit que les personnels techniques ne peuvent pas enlever le lit par manque de temps. Et enlever les pieds de lit pour que sommier et matelas tiennent debout contre le mur? non plus. Du coup obligé de mettre le sommier dehors nous même pour pouvoir installer notre lit...

La Prairie is a small campsite, good for families and everyone is really friendly. However unfortunately my partner and I were not happy with our stay for several reasons. We stayed in a tent and were assigned a pitch that was pretty much next to the motorway and especially at night the noise levels were really bad and occasionally we woke up from a noisy vehicle. But also the entertainment area was right next to us and the entertainment often lasted until 11 or midnight, so it's impossible to get a good sleep early if you're tired from a long day. The toilet block was quite far from our pitch. There were no separate sinks for washing the dishes which meant people had to do their washing up in the same sinks that people used for washing their hands after having gone to the toilet which for hygiene reasons I think is not great. Our camping pitch also had no trees which meant zero protection from the sun which in August was really tough.I suppose the experience could be very different for people who rent a home or come with their own motorhome. But for people staying in tents the anemeties...
