Maison des Lavandes — Hotel in Draguignan

I had always wanted to spend a few days here since finding it on the internet whilst researching the area. I and our friends who accompanied us were not disappointed - it was the highlight of our travels through France. The setting, the rooms, the breakfast all were just perfect and the pool an added bonus. Bronwen is delightful and extremely helpful, allowing us to keep some picnic food in her fridge, and she also offers delightful wine should you wish to purchase. We arrived on a hot day and were immediately offered refreshments - alcoholic or otherwise! The beautiful village of Seillans is a short drive away and we had a couple of very good meals there (at la Gloire de mon père and Les deux rocs), both in beautiful settings outside. Good: We loved everything about this hotel, the gentleness of the owner, the lovely room (our was Lavender), the garden, the friendly dog. When we arrived the owner offered us tea and biscuits and since it was my husband’s birthday she bought him a card and a bottle of wine which we found in the room. For breakfast she asked us what we wanted and prepared also scrambled eggs for us. The area is very quite but you can find some good restaurants within 10mins drive. From here we visited Cannes, Nice, Monaco, Antibes, Saint Tropez, all plsces that can be reached within 1 to 2 hours drive! ||||Bad: Everything was perfect, but if I had to pick anything would be the gate cause every time we went out we had to stop to open the gate, then stop again to close it and do the same when we arrived and at night and in the cold this is not very practical so if it was automatic it would be...

Me and my partner stayed here this month for four nights and we could not rate this place highly enough!||||The rooms are spacious and fully equipped with tea/ coffee facilities and a separate toilet and bathroom. Each room also has a TV with sky so you can get English channels.
