Fantastic hosts who welcomed us into their home and looked after our every need. Great stories from Kev about his time in the rough and tumble of the European cycling circuit. Bikes supplied were top quality; set up to suit us Bev mapped out heaps of rides options of different kinds and interests. Bev provided Fabulous breakfasts to set us up for the day’s riding and wonderful dinners every night, after a beer or two after the ride.
Room was spacious and comfortable with large lounge and dining area available for guests .
The area around Foix and Loubières is beautiful; with ancient Cathar ruins, spectacular limestone cliffs and many small villages. Kev n Bev suggested some great circuits to interesting spots like Mas D’Azil and Roquefixade, and some great climbs to test the legs in the lower Pyrenees ~1500m. The riding is incredible.
Loubières is only 5 min ride from the Voie Vert, a fantastic rail trail running along the Pyrenees, and is a short 5km ride from Foix, with its imposing castle and narrow streets with cafes and restaurants.
A couple of bike shops located nearby for any gear needs.
Hard to improve on this B and B for cycling, walking or a...

Read moreMy wife and I stayed at this bed and breakfast to cycle in the Pyrenees. We had breakfast in the morning, usually porridge for me and croissants for my wife after muesli and coffee. Out for a ride then back for snack before an evening meal around 7:30pm. The food was excellent and changed each night. We also got out kit washed every other day which was a bonus. |The hosts both cycle and we did have a morning out with Bev on the bike. Kev is a bit faster than us but we have been out with him before and he is happy to cycle at your pace.|Top tip is to ask Bev for suggested routes for your ability and ambitions, which she will show you on a map and send to your computer which we found vets helpful. All in all, very accommodating couple and it is our third...
