We had an absolutely amazing stay at this Airbnb near INSEAD Fontainebleau! From the moment we arrived, Erich and his lovely family made us feel completely at home. Staying here felt like living with a classy French family in a beautiful palace filled with artistic touches in every corner, every detail of the house reflects charm and elegance. Every morning, we woke up to a delicious breakfast with super fresh bakery items that Erich personally brings, along with the most delightful homemade jams. The terrace is a dream, the perfect spot to relax after a busy morning exploring Fontainebleau or visiting INSEAD (which is just a 10-minute drive away!). One of the things that really made our stay stress-free was the private parking. We didn’t have to worry at all about our car’s security or any extra costs. And on one of the warmest days in France, Erich went above and beyond to provide us with a portable AC, making sure we were perfectly comfortable. What really stood out is how kind and attentive Erich and his family were — always offering great recommendations, helping whenever needed, and even surprising us with afternoon snacks. L’orée du bois des rois provides a truly beautiful location for a visit to Fontainbleau and the surrounding forests and countryside. If you are looking for an individual and luxurious B&B this is the place for you! Eric and his wife were excellent hosts and despite our early arrival made us feel at home. We we given advice on where to visit and eat given our short 2 night stay. The property has been renovated to an incredibly high standard with tasteful fixtures and fittings and remarkably original themed bedrooms & en suite bathrooms. The breakfast was exquisitely presented in a wonderfully appointed dining room. A simple menu of baked goods, fresh yogurt and muesli along with a selection of preserves and fruit juice made a perfect start to the day. Coffee was available both morning and evening and when we had to leave early on a Monday morning to catch a ferry home Eric made a special trip to the bakery to ensure we had fresh croissants. Une magnifique propriété décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Savoureux mélange de modernité et d'ancien avec sa petite touche de technologie sans dénaturer le lieu. Tout est très bien pensé et réalisé. On a apprécié également l'accueil qui nous a été réservé, l écoute, la disponibilité... digne d'un relais et château, la sympathie en plus. Le petit dej était très bon également, notre hôte s'est adapté à nos envies, jusqu'à nous faire la surprise de diffuser le style de musique que l'on aime avant même notre arrivée à table. Assurément une très belle adresse que je recommande à tous ceux qui souhaitent s offrir une parenthèse enchantée et découvrir la région et les monuments alentours.
