Camping 2 Suns — Hotel in Gap

The first impression of the site was a huge smile from the manager as we drove through the gates, and she drove out. Our pitch was huge, ringed with trees. This campsite has 73 pitches, 18 chalets, 7 mobile homes. It stretches up a mountain side, weaving through rocks and trees. Our pitch was at 750m. The views are indescribable. I walked one morning to the highest pitch to watch sunrise hit the white rocks of the mountains across the valley. What a feeling!||||We feel private in our pitch, yet this is a sociable campsite with strong focus on the central facilities: reception, restaurant, bar, free Wifi, swimming pool. Everyone here seems to be a good mood. The managers are warm, hard working, and dedicated. They organize lots of activities for the kids. Today: club this morning, darts in the afternoon, movie in the evening.||||It did take a few days to get used to the paths up and down. A lot of physical exercise. Luckily I found a place to hang my hammock, in the shade and with WiFI. When I asked the managers if I could do this, they were surprised. "Of course!" they said, and then wondered if they might create a hammock park above the pool. ||||So different from some other campsites where there are rules against everything... ||||What did I not like? There was no hot water, this afternoon. I told management, and they changed the gas bottles. I think that's it. Oh, and it's a bit empty. The weather has been mixed and that puts people off.||||Most evenings there's something on. I like that, and I like the musical evenings that sometimes last after midnight. It reminds me of camping when I was a kid. Songs around the fire. Live music late into the night is a Good Thing. Karaoke was fun.||||Let me talk about the region, High Provence... this is adventure land. Rock climbing, hill walks, abandoned mountain villages, long bike rides through the stunning landscape, hang gliding, gliding, horse riding,... you can do all these. I prefer to lie in my hammock under the plum trees and relax.||||This is a region steeped in history. It used to be border country and the scene of long wars. There are dozens of "villages perches" built like fortresses high in the hills, around 1000 AD. Some are still lived in. Some are abandoned and spooky. Visit the massive citadel of Sisteron and feel your mind blown. ||||This valley was sculpted by glaciers and the geology is complex and strange. Whole mountain sides composed of crushed shale. Boulders like dragon's teeth. Ridges that run along entire mountain tops, looking like huge walls.||||Drive pretty much up any road and you'll find yourself lost in beautiful, impossible beauty. This is an area to explore slowly, with a camera, sketchpad, and friends.||||We drove to Marseilles (2 hours) to get a dip in the sea. We visited Cassis on the way. So lovely! It's all wine country. Such stunning views, even from the motorway. It reminded me of northern California. Still, I was happy to get back to my hammock up on the side of the mountain, overlooking the valley and the sunset.||||My biggest worry here was the weather. Maybe it's abnormal this year. The wind gusts hit 40-50km and I really felt my tent was going to collapse. It's held up. We're going to invest in a more solid tent. I want to come back next year, stay for longer, and prepare the kids for more adventure. ||||We had no mosquitoes, even after rain. I got bitten once only, when we went to La Germanette, a huge fresh water pool and park, just south of the campsite. Lots of crickets and grasshoppers. Few flies, some ants. This made the evenings pleasant.||||Things to bring: hiking boots or solid shoes, electric heater for the nights, torches to find your way around at night. And of...

Chalet catastrophique. Simplement a détruire car très dangereux, baguettes tenue par du scotch, vis qui saute de partout ,porte qui se deboite,tiroirs a couvert qui ne tient pas, abattant WC cassé, invasion de fourmis mur,gamelle animaux (qui ressort de la plomberie), fissure dans les murs, ,rideau déchiré...info site mensonger (club ado, structure gonflable, toboggans interdit -8ans) 2 animateurs présenter plus que 1 animatrice qui a essayé de gérer seule le lendemain jusqu'à la fin. club enfant dangereux( vis et clous apparent)Epicerie simple étagère avec 3-4 produits .le Snack: La moitié des cocktails sont épuisés . Dans se snack on a vraiment l'impression de faire les fonds de tiroirs . Heureusement que Jemma est la c'est un vrai rayon de soleil elle se donne vraiment a fond pour nous satisfaire avec les moyen qu'elle a. Les horaires d'ouverture ne sont pas assez large fermé sur les horaires du midi. La piscine est un lieu Agréable par son cadre mais vraiment très très sales.les enfant s'amusait à écrire leur prénom sur la crasse. lorsqu'on le remonte on nous dit" C'est la crème solaire" . Vraiment ?? Peut-être aussi à un manque d'entretien ,elle a été fermée régulièrement pour des mauvaises analyse ! L'équipe du ménage et de l'entretient très agréable avec les vacanciers et très efficace avec les moyen qu'ils ont heureusement qu'ils sont la . La réception . Personnelle agréable et souriant qui cherche des solutions a nos problèmes (contrairement à la directrice mais j'y reviendrai) a chaque fois qu'on a eu des soucis ils ont été tres réactif. Au vu de tous nos souci sur se camping la directrice nous a proposé de nous rencontrer on c'est dit que la démarche était bonne donc ma femme a été a sa rencontre. La seul solution qu'elle nous a proposé est de nous envoyer sur un autre camping ciela village(Biscarrosse , Avignon)frais essence péage à notre charge bien-sûr ou sur un autre camping du coin qu'on pourrais payer car elle nous rembourserai le reste de notre séjour. Je trouve ça honteux et inadmissible.On avait vraiment le sentiment de déranger a tel point que ( je précise avant que ce rendez-vous a eu lieu le vendredi et qu'une solution de relogement surclassé a été trouvé par La réceptionniste qu'on remercie ELLE pour sont professionalisme,et non a notre demande ) lorsque que la directrice croise ma femme le mercredi soir sur la soirée proposé par le camping ,elle lui dit bah vous êtes resté finalement ??? Avec un grand sourire. Cette directrice n'est pas a sa place et n'a rien a faire dans un camping. Les animations sont simple mais efficace rien d'extraordinaire mais les enfants ont apprécié sauf la séance vidéo(film sur la région) ont partait dans un camping familiale , de vacance pas dans un EHPAD. Barrière ouverte en permanence , merci pour la sécurité. On nous impose de porter un bracelet dans le règlement intérieur qui nous a jamais été donner bien qu'il les ai en stock (confirmer par le personnel). Ce camping est un vrai moulin n'importe qui peut aller et venir sans que ça n'inquiète personne . Régulièrement on peut y croisé du personnel ivre le soir c'est juste inadmissible! Le Positif ce camping à un cadre exceptionnel ,du personnel vraiment top qui se démène pour nous et pour rendre notre séjour le plus agréable possible malgré les moyens qu'ils ont. En résumé,Il n'y a aucune sécurité une directrice aux abonnés absente . Des habitations à rasé car beaucoup trop vieillissant et très dangereux surtout avec des jeunes enfants et un site internet mensonger. Un prix pour un 4 étoiles pour un camping qui en vaut tous juste 2 .( Appris par le personnel et la direction qu'ils sont en procédure pour passer a 3 ) ceci est inadmissible.Grâce à de super belle rencontre nous avons passé un bon séjour on a pu s'apercevoir que le PSG restera à jamais meilleur que l'OM aller Paris .😉 Merci a toutes l'équipe heureusement que vous êtes là...

Wir hatten uns im Vorfeld ausführlich über diesen Campingplatz informiert, insbesondere hinsichtlich der Eignung für unser großes Wohnmobil. Nachdem wir mehrfach die Höhe und Länge unseres Fahrzeugs angegeben hatten, erhielten wir die Zusicherung, dass mehrere passende Stellplätze verfügbar wären. Trotz der langen Anreise, hohen Maut- und Spritkosten sowie der anspruchsvollen Bergfahrt durch den Wald machten wir uns auf den Weg.

Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir jedoch enttäuscht. Die Zufahrt zum Campingplatz wurde ab der Mitte des Areals zunehmend steiler, enger und war von sehr niedrigem Baumbestand geprägt, was die Weiterfahrt erschwerte. Wir parkten unser Wohnmobil an einem vorübergehenden Ort und begaben uns zur Rezeption.

Dort kämpfte die Mitarbeiterin leider mit einem Stromausfall. Sie erklärte uns auf der Karte des Areals verschiedene Stellplätze, die größtenteils nur für Zelte oder kleine Fahrzeuge wie einen VW T4 geeignet waren. Der einzige Stellplatz, der groß genug für unser Wohnmobil gewesen wäre, war leider nicht verfügbar.

Insgesamt verbrachte ich etwa eineinhalb Stunden damit, den gesamten Platz abzulaufen, da ich immer wieder den steilen Berg zur Rezeption hinauf- und hinuntergehen musste, um verschiedene Stellplätze zu überprüfen. Trotz meiner wiederholten Anfragen konnte mir die Mitarbeiterin keinen passenden Platz zuweisen. Der alternative Stellplatz, den sie uns anbot, war so ungünstig gelegen und schwer zugänglich, dass er für unser Fahrzeug nicht nutzbar war. Die Hilfsbereitschaft der Mitarbeiterin war begrenzt, und unser Anliegen wurde nicht angemessen berücksichtigt.

Besonders frustrierend war, dass wir mit zwei kleinen Kindern unterwegs waren, die nach der langen Fahrt bereits sehr erschöpft waren. Wir mussten sie immer wieder aus dem Auto holen, um die Stellplätze zu begutachten, was die Situation noch belastender machte.

Nach unserem Besuch kontaktierten wir den Campingplatz, um unsere Erfahrungen zu schildern. Die Antwort war unbefriedigend und beschränkte sich auf allgemeine Versprechungen ohne konkrete Lösungen.

Aufgrund der mangelhaften Kundenbetreuung, der ungenauen Stellplatzinformationen und der insgesamt enttäuschenden Erfahrung können wir diesen Campingplatz leider nicht empfehlen, insbesondere nicht für größere Wohnmobile oder Wohnwagen.
