I’ve been coming to Camping de Montéglin for nearly ten years now, and I can honestly say it’s one of my favorite places to stay. Under the care and management of Niko, the campsite has truly flourished and become even better year after year.
The recent addition of modern cabins with air conditioning is a real game-changer — comfortable, clean, and perfect for relaxing after a day of outdoor fun. Speaking of which, the area is packed with amazing activities for the whole family: hiking, biking, swimming, and more — all in the heart of breathtaking nature.
If you’re a paragliding enthusiast, look no further: Camping de Montéglin hosts the official landing field for the local area. It’s a fantastic hub for both seasoned pilots and newcomers alike.
The facilities are always spotless, and the staff are warm, welcoming, and helpful — it’s clear they genuinely care about their guests. Add to that a convenient on-site restaurant serving great food, and you’ve got the perfect package.
Whether you’re into adventure or just looking for a peaceful, family-friendly escape, Camping de Montéglin is a must-visit. I can’t recommend it...
Read moreBeen three times now because it's the base for the Ozone Chabre Open paragliding event. Stayed for ten days this year around the end of June. Brilliant location but it has to be said that it is not being maintained as well as it could. There are two sanitary blocks one of which was half closed off and neither of which was adequately clean. The pitches are scruffy with patchy grass which does not seem to be trimmed often if at all. A couple of times the electricity was turned off because of thunder storms during which a number of the pitches are prone to flooding. There is a small pool which we used last year but this year when we arrived it was empty and by the time we left (6th June) it was filled but still locked. I wouldn't mind so much if it was cheap, but it is not. This year we were charged 19€ a night for a caravan with two people, including 10 amp electric. That's a four star price for what is essentially a two star site. There was a rumour among the campers that the current lease expires this year. Perhaps a change of management might turn this into somewhere I would...
Read moreOn the way around France I had a problem with a car where at 01:00 I needed to stay somewhere. Everything was closed so I had to wait outside for the night and the phone was discharged .In the morning I tried to ask the locals for help but no one wanted to talk to me as I don't know French and they pretended not to know English when they opened a local bakery I went to warm up and eat there and the saleswoman advised me to go ask Camp Camp de Monteglin where I met Nikokas Willemin I explained my problem to him, but everything was busy in his Camp. Nikokas after hosting me made me a coffee he asked if I was not hungry and said that we would help naist accommodation we got in his car and moved me naist open hotel. He was the only one who helped me a lot And you didn't take any money from me. His CAM is large clean spacious in a nice environment and and especially with a nice human approach to people. If you have a trip around and are planning to stay somewhere for the night I recommend Camping...
