Camping la Viste — Hotel in Gap

We spent 2 nights here in August 2018 on a touring pitch. The beautiful alpine lake views from the campsite were amazing! The site has two swimming pools and a bar terrace from which you can see those amazing views. The whole place was clean and well cared for. Staff wrre friendly and accommodating. There were various activities that were put on the you could take part in, like archery and petanque, although we spent our time in the pool and visiting the nearby lake beach, which is in walking distance (although a steep climb back up the the site). A great camping, specially for people with children or families in general. The place has an insane view from the pool over the lake of Serre-Ponçon and also from their restaurant. The pitches for tents/RVs are quite large and nicely shaded by trees. Price is average for a camping of this standing. There's an area for BBQs, a kids play area and pétanque court. I regret a bit that the pool was that cold, you could only take advantage of it during plain day when air temperature is at it maximum, otherwise you have to get out after 10min inside of it. Very nice campground with good and clean sanitair, a nice but a bit expensive restaurant and 3 swimming pools. The location is quite remote (20 min drive to closest supermarket) but the views are amazing. The only things that i would change are the showers and the place of the sanitairbuilding. The showers could be a bit bigger, but the water is always hot. And the sanitairbuilding could be closer to a few of the more remote places.
