Holiday Bed and Breakfast Le Moulin — Hotel in Gap

I stayed in this cottage for one week in May with a group of climbers. ||It was perfect. ||||First of all, the owners are adorable. A lovely and friendly French couple with their daughter. They made us feel at home right away, and they were there to answer any of our questions.||||My boyfriend and I stayed in the double room on the ground floor. We had a remarkable view from our bedroom window - the garden, the lavender fields, and the mountains. The king sized bed was so comfortable, and we had plenty of space to put our things (and hang our climbing gear!)||||There is a huge, clean and fully-equipped kitchen with everything we needed, as well as a huge wooden table for a lot of people to sit and eat together. We stayed in and cooked every night but one. The showers are strong and hot, and all of the bathroom/shower facilities were perfectly clean.||||Outside, there is a huge garden with picnic tables, a BBQ (that we didn't get round to using, but we could have done), and a hammock. The setting was incredible, with views over the landscape, and views to the rock climbing crags too.||||We were only supposed to stay for six nights, but we were so happy there we delayed our train and stayed for eight nights.||||The owners also organised an "apéro" with drinks and snacks, for us and a group of Norwegians that were staying in the cottage next door. My husband and I stayed for the first time in this "gite" last year. We stayed in the upper house. Two friends joined us there. The kitchen in this house is spacious and convenient. We were 4 and we had plenty of room for us and our climbing equipment. I had noticed the lower house that year and returning this year for more climbing, I reserved this house as I knew we would be able to have breakfast in front of the lavender field and watch the moon rising over the mountain... This year we had our 25 year old son with us and three other friends joined us. The kitchen is fully functional and we used it everyday at least for breakfast. The rooms were able to accommodate our big bags. The bathroom is a bit small for big guys (we had a few) but everything works. Our hosts (who have an adorable daughter) were genuinely friendly, always ready to help. Lucie is a very good cook and they have booze in their cabinet that you may want to keep for an evening before a rest day. When we were not climbing, we enjoyed slack-lining between an apple tree and a plum tree or play "boules", and for the rest day, a short drive to the Méouge river is a great option. Wonderful place to relax, separated from busy world. It is an old farm, partially rebuilt to rent apartments.The owners, Lucy and Florian, have also lavenders fields they take care of and produce lavender products we liked. Me and my wife visited Le Moulin to see lavender fields in half of July. And this place has everything we ´ve been looking for. An ancient place - rebuilt but still with its old spirit, quiet with the lavender field right at the farm and with beautiful view on the mountains. Time is passing slowly here. We have visited number of lavender fields in absolute privacy, lavender distillery, local markets and enjoyed beautiful nature, friendly people and quality local food with fresh baguettes every day. Lucy is very kind and always ready to help and advice. We could even eat peaches from their peach trees. You will feel at home here. We stayed in the double room apartment but there are spacious family apartments available too. You can use stone grill, play petangue, table football or just sit on the garden chair and relax, breathing lavender scent and gain energy from the mountain behind.
