This site is simply stunning. There is a rustic charm to it, its buildings, layout and tranquillity and we loved it here. Fleeing a flooded site in the Dordogne we were recommended to move here and what a site it turned out to be. The views down the valley are amazing and as for sunset, well you have to see it to believe it. |The pitches are huge, well maintained and surrounded by hedges affording you privacy. There is a mix of camping/caravanning or motorhome pitches, a few mobile homes and elegant lodges. The layout separates the site up so you are not aware of lots of accommodations. There is also an area with a good level of tree cover which must be important in the summer months. Rabbits and hare frequent the site especially under the trees, so if you do have a dog be awareâŠ|The toilet and shower block (shared) is the cleanest I have ever seen anywhere on a campsite; there are washing sinks and a washing machine plus washing up facilities as part of this block. The bar and restaurant are well stocked and offer a lovely menu plus daily specials at really good prices. I do not think that the bar/restaurant manager nor the site manager actually rested, they seemed to be busy every moment of the day and were so friendly and helpful!|The swimming pool area (2 pools â one adult the other for children which is divided to provide a toddler pool) is large, spotless and having the most stunning views from the patio. Children were well catered for with a play area, swings, enclosed trampoline, basketball court, pĂ©tanque pitches etc and aces of fields to run and play safely.|We really loved this site and would have no hesitation in...
Read moreThis is by far one of the best sites I have stayed in. The pools are superb, the showers are superb and regularly cleaned. The bar staff excellent. The restraunt serves wonderful food (at a cost). This site WAS always my goto site when travelling in France. HOWEVER, things have changed.... If the lower pitches are being sold why are the showers /toilets etc near these not open? This forces a 10 minute uphill walk to the shower building. Why am i made to feel like a second class citizen by the owners when ordering drinks or booking a table in the restraunt but all the attention given to french speakers. Why is it not advertise that the snack bar only opens for monday specials and pizzas are not served. Whereas the menu still reads as such. This site has let itself down badly i feel by the management team who only seen to care for french speakers. And I will be avoiding this in the future which is a huge same. All campers should be...
