I'll start with the positive: The hotel is new, the rooms are new and in good condition and it has free parking. In addition, the hotel employees are very kind and friendly. Other than that, everything else is a disaster. -Breakfast: Breakfast in the morning is chaotic. There are so many people and so little space available to eat that there's nowhere to sit down. You often end up eating breakfast at the beanbag chairs in the coworking area. In the morning, it's a jungle; it's an odyssey to find plates and cutlery. The breakfast is quite basic: pre-baked croissants, eggs, ham and cheese, yogurt, cereal, and pancakes, plus coffee and some supermarket juices. -Lunch/Dinner: If you want to have lunch or dinner, I don't recommend it. All the food is pre-baked, including pizzas, mozzarella sticks, and terrible pasta, with butter and cheese. -Check-in: Check-in is at 3:00 PM. We arrived at 1:30 PM that day and we knew the room wouldn't be ready at that time, so we ate and waited. The incredible thing is that the front desk knew we were waiting for a room, yet they didn't have any rooms available at 3:00 PM. They said they had a lot of guests and were still cleaning the rooms. -Cleaning: We stayed for 4 days, and two of those days, the room wasn't cleaned (I didn't leave any signs telling them not to clean). When we arrived in the afternoon, we realized they simply hadn't cleaned the room. -Pool: When you enter the pool area in the afternoon, you'll find coffee cups on the floor, glasses with juice leftovers, and plates. Everything is dirty, and no one cleans or puts it away. It's a shame because the hotel isn't cheap, and it's far from everything. Despite being new and having nice rooms, there's a real lack of management, and it shows after spending a day there.

Honestly not sure what the problem is with Sophia Antipolis and some of its businesses. Decided to have a staycation. Walked from my place to check-in, which wasn’t easy because it is not entirely accessible on foot, and it was hot. Was told there that my reservation was canceled for a reason that wasn’t clear. Had a conversation with the staff that would prove I was there. I left, and a few days later was charged for the booking. Reached out to booking platform and was told the hotel said I didn’t show. I emailed the hotel, phoned them, and also went in person to clear up the matter. Was promised an email I could send to the booking partner explaining I did show for my reservation. Two weeks later, they are still just emailing me to ask for details about what happened, which I had already given them several times in full, which seems like prolonging and procrastination. It’s not about the money; it just feels similar like my experience with Nexity Studea, which I also posted about, except Moxy didn’t owe me several thousand euros like Nexity. I’m just baffled by the arrogance, attempted gaslighting and total lack of concern for accountability in some of the businesses here (one of the UniCA programs included), especially when, from my point of view, it seems like they’re doing this because they think I am an unthreatening polite female. Room was clean but small, but by morning the bathroom smelled strongly of sewage/pipe fumes.

If you have another option, don’t stay here. Choose the other option. I trusted the good reviews for this hotel because there were more good reviews than bad. I found out that the bad reviews were not only the most accurate, but generous. My stay was horrible. There were a couple of gems among the hotel staff but management is no good. Since my stay was so horrific, management offered to comp one day for each of the two rooms I had and an additional $10 discount per day of my stay for each room. Then, I can only assume they decided that I look like a person who cannot count. Because they did not keep their word. The two stars are for the couple of staff members who made an otherwise disgusting hotel stay bearable. The images are of the cob webs and dust on the walls next to the bed, and the dirty rug. If I could send a picture that depicted the most pungent smell of raw sewage I would. It took management 3 days to get the smell out of the two rooms (a smell they were aware of before they put us into our rooms). We left and went to stay at another hotel for 3 days at my own expense, to give them time to solve the issues and try to enjoy our holiday. When I came back, my bed looked slept in, there were two fresh hand towels in the bathroom but the two fresh bath towels were missing, and my back door was unlocked, I guess for easy access for the sleepy worker(s). Just save yourself the aggravation.

Do not stay here. This hotel allows large groups of families to ram in 5+ people to a room. These are vile people who have no manners, who think the hotel is their private home and act terribly and selfishly. The children are feral and run amok unattended all day, screaming, kicking footballs at full force in every direction at the pool. Some kids had water guns and were shooting at random guests. we had to tell them off ourselves as staff refused to do so. One child smashed his head on a glass door at the pool. the parents were nowhere to be found so a bartender had to check he was ok. I cannot believe the risks this hotel takes with health and safety. In addition to letting children at the pool without adult supervision, they also allow glasses at the pool which surely will result in injury or death. No lifeguard either. People touch all the food at the breakfast buffet and upon asking them to only handle the food they plan to select they rudely claimed that “their hands are clean”. So there are no hygiene standards which is shocking post Covid. I have traveled to 40+ countries and haven’t encountered this level of reckless, rude behaviour by guests which was fully permitted by the staff. Either there are major bribes going to the local staff or the hotel chain simply does not care to maintain any standards for decorum. Hotel is also in the middle of nowhere, nothing is easy walking distance. Taxis do not want to come to the hotel so you have to pay top €€€€ to get anywhere. Food menu is extremely limited and staff were quite unwilling to accommodate any reasonable requests for a sick child. Guests also had their dogs running in the hallways off leashes and when we told the staff they said they did not care and wouldn’t address. From management down to staff, there is no recourse. We cut our stay short and moved to another hotel because the situation was so stressful. management refused to compensate and said we were lucky to not get charged an early exit fee! We could not believe how horrific this...

Room and service: The room is modern and beautiful, but that's about it. No amenities inside the room. In the shower there where 2 bittles of shampoo and 1 conditioner. No shower gel. There is only one seat in the room that is awfully uncomfortable. There are no "do not disturb" signs in the room, you need to ask the reception or watch as the staff try to come in even after they cleaned the room once. I was in the room when one of them opened it. She couldn't speak English, so I don't know what she needed. The bed had already been made in the morning when I was gone, so there was no reason for a new visit. Also, there is no kettle in the room. You have to pay to drink the tea in the lobby. There are no waters either. They give you one token per perskn for free drink: tea or water. So they charge for the most basic thing.

Location: The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. The nearest place is open for the university and the companies around and only are open during work hours. The only option at night is a Subway, 10 minutes walk away. Coming out of the hotel, there is a 2 minute walk by the road which is dangerous as there are no pavements or crossings.

Breakfast: it was horrible. Few varieties and nothing delicious. As there are no other options near by, you kind of have to eat it. The scrambled egg looked disgusting and the coffe was horrible! There are two coffee machines and both are bad. It's an irony, considering that you are in France.

Food: no room service of course. There are no phones in the rooms either. But the food itself for dinner was fine. Though most of the times there are items that are crossed out. So very limited options. Their salad was great though.

Lobby: as most guests are working people on a business trip, the lobby is actually designed to work which is nice.

Hotel amenities: there is a tiny gym and a pool....
