Chambres d'hôtes la Bonneterie — Hotel in Guéret

During a recent trip to France to view properties we stayed at La Bonneterie and were extremely pleased with all aspects of the accommodation. Didier and Marie were extremely welcoming and very helpful with information and advice on all aspects of our trip. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed was so comfortable and the bed linen luxurious and it was so quiet in the house and in the village that we had 2 excellent nights' sleep. The shower was so invigorating and the toiletries were lovely. The breakfasts, with all the home-made produce, were delicious and we had the evening meal both nights and the food was beautiful and also very good value. We spent a delightful few days with Didier and Marie in June. It's a.gem. The accommodation surpassed all expectations, rivaling top hotels like The Four Seasons. With just three bedrooms, it exudes intimacy and charm, showcasing Didier and Marie's meticulous curation of every item, blending beautiful antiques with modern touches. The crisp linens were a joy to sleep in, and every detail, from the handcrafted door hangings to the plush bathroom robes and slippers, was impeccable. We were so impressed with all aspects of our stay last year that we returned to La Bonneterie in early April and we stayed 4 nights this time. The room was beautiful and clean, the bed was large and very comfortable and the breakfast was extensive and delicious. We had the evening meal each night and the food, locally sourced, was excellent and the wine was also very good. The service at La Bonneterie is excellent and while Didier and Marie are extremely professional, they are also very friendly and welcoming.
