Oh my goodness – what an amazing place! Hilde and Ben’s Bed and Breakfast is an absolute treasure in Brittany. It’s lovingly owned and run by the sweetest couple, Hilde and Ben, who make you feel welcome from the very first moment.

Every morning, they prepare a fresh vegetarian and vegan breakfast that changes daily – from fluffy waffles and pancakes to homemade granola, jams, and freshly made oat or almond milk. Everything is absolutely delicious. And if you’re lucky enough to be there on one of the nights they serve dinner, don’t miss it! The meals are extraordinary, often inspired by Ottolenghi recipes, bursting with flavor and variety, and made with organic vegetables sourced from a nearby farmer. We enjoyed dinner with them four times, and each one was a wonderful experience in itself.

The house is a lovingly restored stone building, renovated mostly by Hilde and Ben themselves, with great care to preserve its centuries-old charm. There’s also a gorgeous garden with a bench swing where guests can relax and soak in the peaceful surroundings.

Hilde and Ben strike the perfect balance between being attentive and giving guests privacy. They’re always happy to help if you need anything, but they also give you plenty of space to unwind. The location is blissfully quiet – on a street so calm that hardly ever a car passes – yet just a 10-minute walk from the sea.

Inside, the home is spotless, and the beds are large, incredibly comfortable, and dressed in linen sheets. Sleeping with the windows open, breathing the fresh sea air, and enjoying the absolute stillness gave us the best rest we’ve had in years.

We felt so relaxed here that we often chose to simply stay at the house or lounge in the garden rather than go sightseeing. The beach is close by, and Hilde even offered to arrange rental bikes for us (though we didn’t end up needing them).

Nearby Paimpol is a charming small town with grocery stores and cute little shops. Just be aware that vegan dining options in local restaurants are limited – though honestly, with Hilde and Ben’s cooking, you won’t miss a thing.

Staying with Hilde and Ben was one of the most memorable vacation experiences we’ve ever had. Their home radiates warmth, the region is stunningly peaceful, and the food is a dream for everyone but especially for vegan travelers. It will make you wish you could stay forever.

Thank you so much for having...

Together with my girlfriend, we stayed at B&B Cornec for five nights. We had a wonderful time. The B&B is located in a beautifully restored old house with all modern and comfortable amenities at the same time. The room (we had room Héaux de Bréhat) is attractive and has very comfortable beds and an excellent shower and a sitting area in the room. When we came back from an outing we could lounge in the garden or in our room with a tea and coffee. The B&B itself is located on a very quiet road. There are many fun things to do in the area. We enjoyed, among other things, a day trip to Ile de Bréhat, a visit to La Roche-Jagu castle with its lovely garden and walking along the amazing coast. The breakfast was delicious and extensive. Everything is freshly prepared. Vegan for my girlfriend and vegetarian for me. In the evening Hilde cooked a vegan supper a number of times, and this was really top notch! Hilde and Ben are super nice hosts, very friendly and relaxed. They gave plenty of tips about day trips in the area, and also tips on where you can have a vega(n) lunch in the region. All this makes us want to...
