We stayed at Heidenkopf Campsite for a month with our family of four, including our two young children (ages 3 and 1), and had a wonderful experience. The campsite is exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The sanitary facilities are spotless, cleaned daily, and the outdoor areas are regularly tended to. Our caravan pitch was perfectly shaded by trees, providing welcome relief from the summer heat. The children loved the outdoor playground and indoor playroom, which kept them entertained every day, making our stay relaxing and enjoyable. The location is ideal, with direct access to a nearby forest for scenic walks and picnics, and it’s conveniently close to Niederbronn’s swimming pool and a supermarket. The staff—Christel, Jean-Pierre, and Anis—are warm, welcoming, and working hard to ensuring guests have a fantastic stay. They organize delightful weekly events, such as tarte flambée and burger nights, which create a lively and friendly atmosphere. The campsite is peaceful both day and night, with respectful campers ensuring restful sleep. We left feeling reluctant to go and already planning our next visit—our kids can’t stop talking about it! Highly recommended for a serene and family-friendly...
Read moreI’ve visited three times. It’s a relaxing breath of fresh air. The campsite is clean, large sites, and friendly professional management. Things are simple, and also very well done. Good WiFi, and the bakery visits every morning (honks the car horn) with a van full of bread and patterserie
It’s 1.5km walk into the small town for dinner or groceries. There are 10s of hiking trails in the forest behind the campsite. I will visit again and recommend for anyone looking for some days relaxing, walking in a gorgeous forest, and just overall ambience.. drink Alsatian wine, sleep under trees after hiking in the woods...

It's still peaceful, there's been plenty invested here, and now there are cabins and domes to compliment the spaces for tents and motorhomes. Either we're better equipped or there's more power sockets now. Sanitary facilities are really good, along with hot water for washing dishes. There's plenty of hiking to be done, with many routes not far from the camping ground.
Nice peaceful camping ground. Bring a long (10m) power cable if you're drawing...
