We stayed at this B&B for 4 nights, in the 'Chambre d'Ivoire', which is undoubtedly the largest and most beautiful room of the house. So far so good. Breakfast was served in the garden which was very nice. The garden (with swimming pool) was lovely.||As a 'plus' I would also like to mention that this B&B is well located to visit the main attractions in the area. In a quiet village, yet accessible.||||The lady of the house is friendly, but reserved. Everything was provided for, but when I asked to have the hand soap refilled (it was completely empty) this was not done heartily. I suppose having a host who is overly concerned and always chatting and asking questions is not to be wished for either, but I suppose this lady is of the other extreme. Again, she was open to questions, but she often replied reluctantly.|| ||The main downside was the noise. Staying at an historic building, you expect a certain level of noise (voices, footsteps) and that's fine. It is to be expected. However, the family's grandchildren were also staying and they were not only numerous, but also noisy. During most hours of the night the house was quiet, but when you decide not to go on a day trip and rest for a day, forget the afternoon nap! When they weren't screaming or yelling in the house, they were all over the garden. The pool was taken virtually all day, which made it very difficult for the guests to use it. Having small children all over the house brings life and can be very enjoyable, but in this case the combination with running a B&B didn't really work that well. ||All in all, I would still recommend this place. It is beautifully decorated, well located, has a lovely garden, but maybe more for just 1 night, not for...
Read moreLocated away from the hustle and bustle "La Vigie" is a peaceful haven. A beautiful old home and our room "the Ivory Room" was very spacious and tastefully decorated. A generous breakfast with delicious home made preserves and yoghurt were amongst the goodies presented each morning.||Our only regret is that we had no command of the French language which limited conversation with Veronique our hostess but we got by with her...

There aren't any restaurants within walking distance. The host provided a very nice breakfast, which included a wonderful cake. Thank you for the...
