We have camped at this site many times and previously given it 4 stars but this year we decided to stay in one of their chalets, which cost over 800 Euros for the week.

On arrival, in addition to providing a very significant deposit for damages, you are also expected to check all the cooking utensils which are laid out on the table ready for you to put away. Not that we objected to this but the equipment provided was so old and in such a poor condition that we didn't feel it warranted this level of scrutiny. To be honest the whole lot could have been replaced at a local boot sale for £20!

The chalet itself was very poorly maintained and we had a long list of things that either didn't work or were missing completely. Despite being told that our issues would be resolved, nothing changed during our stay.

On our final morning, there was a team of maintenance staff waiting to enter the chalet, as soon as we had left, so it seems they did take our complaints on board.

Original Review: Extensive campsite with basic facilities. The site is situated in an attractive rural setting next to a large lake. There is access to a beach on the campsite and there are other activities available in the...

This was one of our favorite stops on our sightseeing trip of France, even with the fact that I became really unwell and I thought I would have to return to the UK. |But with help from the kind lady on reception and the english girl who works there. They arranged for the medical help I needed, also letting us to stay longer at the campsite, until I got myself well enough to continue on with our journey. |Ment our holiday was saved, I was very grateful to them.|Now to the campsite, it's a lovely clean campsite with good facilities, plus its in a good location to visit many places.|There is a pretty lake where you can fish, it has a man made beach and even though not too hot, i did see some brave swimmers.|At the top of the lake is a smaller 2nd laundry room, a bar that also makes yummy pizza's and a play area.|My only grumble is the campsite which is a good size and seems to be split into 2 halves, has only one rubbish bin. Which is located at the far end of the campsite, near where the static caravans are. It's quite a hike with rubbish bags and really need another one at the other end where the majority of the touring vans are. |Saying that, I'd would def...

Liked: Spent 8 nights at this brilliant campsite in beautiful area - absolutely loved it. We were on a pitch right opposite the beach and we loved swimming and paddleboarding every day. Ladies on reception were super friendly and helpful with very good English.

Bar is good for a drink and often has entertainment in the evening which was fun. So much to do including entry to the - a real bonus, slide into the water was super fun. Highly recommend hiring bikes from reception and exploring the area too. Marcon is cute little town 10 mins away and we used the lovely bakery there.

Another bonus was a onsite BBQ which guests can use.

Sure the toilets nearest us could do with a update and read a few complaints that the site doesn't provide toilet roll and soap (sometimes there is soap), but for us for such a good price for all the facilities included really wasn't an issue for us. Also yes the bins are right at the back of the site but for us this made things hygienic and your on holiday so a little walk didn't bother us at all.

All in all highly recommend and we hope to...

What a beautiful site. Spotlessly clean and so peaceful. We stayed in the Victoria glamping tent which was absolutely brilliant. The bed was comfy, it was great having a fridge and a gas hob for those important things like keeping the beers cool and cooking a leisurely breakfast. The communal bathrooms were cleaned throughout the day and offered a washing machine and designated washing up sinks. We walked around the ‘big’ lake next door -free entry if you are staying on the campsite and hired paddle boards for an hour. There’s a great little town Marcon down the road with a bakery and a pizza place. We also hired bikes as there is a bike trail just over the bridge which is a lovely ride alongside the villages. Would definitely recommend.

Fabulous location and perfect for our relaxing 3 night stay, we had the perfect pitch, nice size and overlooking the lake beach. Very friendly and helpful people at reception whom I guess are the owners. Lovely for swimming, fishing and sunbathing plus access to the lake on the nextdoor site means water sports are available too, my teenagers went canoeing and loved it. Food at the bar was basic but nice enough, and very small shop for essentials is handy but best to stock up beforehand. Showers block was clean and always stocked with paper. Family enjoyed it here very much, think we needed an extra day to pack in some more activities though. Would definitely stay again.
