Camping Val de Vie — Hotel in La Roche-sur-Yon

We have been to Camping Val De Vie for the last 3 years, but this year we were slightly worried about re-booking since the previous owners Flo and Pascale were no longer there. However, Elodie and Nicolas made us feel instantly welcome and at home upon arriving and were always available and willing to help. It's a great site already and they have made some nice changes, including adding a Snack Bar which is very popular. As we've always found, the staff all work incredibly hard to ensure that everything runs smoothly and the site is clean and comfortable. The toilet blocks are always immaculate and the whole site is very neat. There's a small play park for the children and they all gather and make lots of friends. The site is not overly big, so the children feel like they have a little freedom playing on their own, but they are never too far away, leaving you to relax. The site is very peaceful on the whole. The swimming pool is nicely kept and rarely busy. There are plenty of sunbeds etc. We love it and we can't wait to go back...

Just spent 2 weeks at this lovely site. 3 star which I assume is due to lack of ‘extra’ facilities which we felt made the place more relaxed. The pitches and toilet facilities were as good as 5 star sites we’ve been on (apart from lack of toilet paper). Our pitch was massive as many were although there were a few that looked smallish. ||The pool was small but never busy and even on very hot days we often had it to ourselves. Wifi available at small cost and was very reliable||Apremont is worth a visit with a nice lakeside beach and inflatable water park for kids of all ages. Put du Fou 1 hour away and well worth a visit. Beaches easily accessible in car. ||The owners work tirelessly with huge smiles to keep the place as relaxed and friendly as it is and I wish them all success. ||Would...

The staff of this camping site are extremely hard working to do everything in their power to make your stay as wonderful as possible. The camping pitches are large with lots of shadow. Our pitch 98 was perfect for us. The camping has a nice swimming pool. It’s just a swimming pool without any slides, but it’s great to cool down on a hot summer day. The possibility of having a nice meal at the camping site and enjoy some entertainment twice a week in the evening was valued by us. The sanitary blocks are cleaned often per day. I would recommend to have the time(s) of cleaning shown at the sanitary blocks. If it is already there, we haven’t noticed it.
