La Maison du Parc — Hotel in La Roche-sur-Yon

I don’t normally stay in small hotels/B and Bs so wasn’t sure about booking to stay here. I am very glad I did. The location is great for Puy du Fou, there is ample parking and the accommodation is spotlessly clean. This in itself is enough to recommend it but in addition to this, the bedrooms are beautifully appointed and the hosts are wonderful. We had a lovely meal in the dining room which was not only tasty but great value for money (17 euros for adults and 9 euros for children). The breakfast was also fabulous and included lots of pastries, crepes, yoghurts, fruit, orange juice, tea and coffee. We sat in the garden in the evening and the host appeared with fresh apricots and water. Another nice touch was a face mister which was very much appreciated in 38 degree heat. My wife and I stayed at La Maison Du Parc for 3 days and on the Saturday our hosts organisés for us a marvellous family party with an aperitif in the garden , a delicious lunch and and evening meal of salads , charcuterie and cheese with good wines , the odd beer and eau de vie - this was for 13 persons as my wife was born and bred in the nearby St. Mars la Reorthe and from a big family It was a wonderful day thanks to our hosts impeccable organisation. The bedrooms are calm and comfortable and the breakfast was superb and the atmosphere was relaxed favourising conversation. Highly recommended if you want to visit Le Puy du Fou or see the other sights of the Vendée , Clemenceau’s house , Les Sables d’Olonne and it’s beach and port restaurants offering fresh fish and oysters or know more about the Guerre de Vendée or the Parc Naturel de la...

We travelled as a family of 6 staying in 3 rooms. The house exceeded our expectations as did the hosts. We received a lovely friendly welcome, instantly felt at home.||The house has been renovated to a high specification and attention to detail. ||The breakfast covers the whole of a very large table with plenty of choice for everyone including crepes and omelettes to order. There is the option of ordering an evening meal and packed lunches but we did not partake of this.||The house is perfectly suited for a visit to Le Puy de Fou theme park being just a few minutes drive away.||Suitable for couples and families alike with plenty of parking. ||We all really enjoyed our stay.
