We stayed at Les Batarelles for just under a week in one of the most idyllic settings in Entre-deux-Mers. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and the small touches shown in the bathrooms say a lot for the care and the attention given by the owners to the establishment and for their customers. The owners are a wonderful couple that prepare everything and cater for all the people there. I could not praise them enough and the customer service would make Les Batarelles a good case study for enterprises on how to be successful. ||||Apart from the location in the middle of rolling vineyards, the setting is wonderful and very relaxing. There is a garden where people can eat and relax by the pool, a kitchen with amenities for self catering which is adequate and make it a pleasant change from eating in restaurants - especially if you enjoy shopping at the local markets. ||||Andre and Danielle are simply wonderful, extremely helpful and can provide advice on a number of things in the region. They maintain the property and the bedrooms wonderfully, and the breakfasts with homemade cakes, jam and yogurts are just one of the unique ways that make a stay at Les Batarelles a pleasant and memorable one. ||The Marakesh room is wonderful room to stay in as it has direct access to the garden and provides some privacy.||||Highly recommended! ||||-...

They guided us to some nice places in the area. They help when I broke my glasses, and with special request for breakfast, and just en general. If we needed something, we should just ask. ||||The place only got 4 flats, so it will never be too loud or with too much people. We also enjoyed just relaxing near the pool or away from the sun all day. We always found a good place to relax. ||||The price is fair, and you get what you are promised. ||||Only a few downsides if this stay should have had 5 stars. ||- The WiFi is not working in all the house, only a few places. It could be fixed easily, so I hope they do that||- On night a small buss came with 7 guests, they were a bit loud. but it only lasted 30 mins. ||- Dogs in the area are a bit loud too in some nights. ||- The towns near by have very funny French opening hours, so ask for help with this and call them in advance. ||||All in all a very good time, and we will come back for a...
Read moreDanielle and André were the perfect hosts during our recent stay. Our whole family took over Les Batarelles for four nights - B&B rooms and the attached gîte - to celebrate our niece's wedding at nearby Chateau Lagorce. ||||We were made to feel so welcome, and it really felt like Danielle and André's fabulous, lovingly-restored home was indeed our own! So relaxing sitting around the log fires of an evening with a glass or two of local wine, with the occasional swim in the pool by day. ||||Breakfasts featured delicious home-made jams, yogurt, crusty bread and freshly-baked cakes. Danielle was a mine of information on the local tourist attractions too - don't miss a trip to nearby St Emilion.||||A great place for a family...
