Bois Cailloux — Hotel in Largentière

My wife, two sons, and I stayed at Bois & Cailloux for three nights in early July 2019. Everything about our experience was outstanding. Sabine and Olivier, the wonderfully friendly and helpful owners, have created an incredible oasis of calm and comfort that really was a highlight of our trip to France. Sabine made great recommendations for a canoe company that we used for a delightful day on the Ardeche and one of the best boulangeries we found anywhere — and we KNOW our pastries! The boys loved swimming in the private pool, and the whole family enjoyed the suite, which is well appointed, has a wonderful shower, and blessed AC (hallelujah!). The landscaping and grounds of B & C have been thoughtfully designed, so that you really feel secluded, no matter where you go. This is a place we would love to return to one day. An incredible slice of Bali in the heart of the Ardèche!

We had the most wonderful stay at Bois Cailloux. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were in a tropical paradise. The site is beautifully landscaped with lush vegetation and a stunning Balinese-inspired design that is pure magic.

Our room was impeccably clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The real highlight, however, was the fantastic Zacuzzi pool—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.

A huge thank you to Sabine, the host, who was absolutely amazing. She is so warm, welcoming, and full of great local advice. She truly went above and beyond to make our stay special.

Wonderful hosts, Sabine & Olivier welcomed us with a warm, friendly smile and a cold bottle of wine d'Ardeche. The cottages are set in the middle of a forest, where you will feel reconnected with nature. Cottages are not too far from eachother, but you will get all the privacy you need, as you are surronded by trees and green. We had a/c, a nice little private pool, and a private garden with a barbecue and a hammoc😍. Everything was clean and we had our coffee each day, enjoying the trills of Sabine's various, fabulous birdies!!!
