Went in very late September and site was about to close up for the winter so review probably does not reflect peak season.||The site was chosen because of its proximity to vallon de arc and it's fantastic canoeing, both the site and the canoeing are a fantastic way to bond with the whole family and a must for all those that seek a little adventure but not on the dangerous side.||||The site has a pool ( in honesty it was looking a little sad and not well loved, but as said it was the closed season and this may explain why it looked as it did) for those on a tight budget this site is great, it has things to do for all the family but for us what really stood out was how friendly and accommodating the owners where, nothing was too much trouble, which is why I am giving it a four star rating, a little tlc to to site and it would be a five.||||The site is a short drive ( 10 minutes in the car ) from all the action of vallon de arc, and is well placed for canoeing, horse riding, caving and climbing, for the less adventurous the walks around the canyon are amazing, but please try the canoeing, it's easy and if you have a young family (7 yrs of age or older), try the overnight canoe adventure and stay in a real bivouac, there are bbqs and pre erected tents along with wild boars ( albeit little ones) that really give you the feeling your in the wilds, the rapids are very tame but the scenery is breathtaking, you will not be disappointed, and make sure you take some footwear that you don't mind getting wet and lots of sunscreen because once your in the gorge there's no going...
Read moreWe had a nice first impresssion of the site although it is very sparse. The electric to the whole site went around 20 times every day with no professional to rectify the issue so it was left to me and my group to sort the electricity out when we are not qualified. We cleaned the camp every day as a lot of the group have ocd. We cleaned the showers out every day full of gigantic moths. We all cleaned our tents every day but Patrick the manager has sent me abusive e mails saying it has took 2 days to clean our mess !! What a joke. When I asked him for photo evidence he sent me a carry bag of rubbish with a broken cup “as accidents happen” if I was you I would look elsewhere for bettter equipped staff and lodgings as these and especially Patrick are a cowboy outfit out to exploit people. Please think...
Read moreWe stayed 10 nights in our tent with two children, the ideal spot off the beaten track but still close to all the activites and attractions in Vallon Pont d'arc (10mins car ride). The campground was ideally placed with lots of shade, the swimming pool and additional paddling pool for toddlers was perfect. The sanity blocks were well kept with hot showers available. ||||We ate very well at the Snack bar with a varied menu with local good quailty meat and excellent friendly service from the owners Tamara and Richard, who made us feel very welcome. A great place to stay and relax.||||Thank you ! we will come...
