We stayed for 2 nights in this nice place. We stayed in the room 'general', a room with a lot of charm but also a very (too) small bathroom , breakfast is 'gourmand style' (ask for the pain perdue or the pancakes), this place has some very original deco, quite interesting and always linked with a story.||||Upon arrival the first thing that triggered us was the jungle like garden, really beautiful with some hidden cosy corners. The swimming pool is quite large and we loved the surrounding , very peaceful, even being in the small village..||||Veronique prepared us a nice picknick , which we took just in front of the chateau at the other side of the river, a good idea if you don't feel going for a drive. ||||In the close neighbourhood you'll find some very nice small villages , we liked very much our trip to Thines, a place really at the end of the world.. (good advice from the hosts)||||In all, a great stay, we would although next time take a different room, but for sure...
Read moreThis is a wonderful, calm place.||The decor is beautiful, the rooms very big, spacious and comfortable.||The summer kitchen was very well stocked and the atmosphere extremely relaxed and welcoming.||The gardens are amazing - lush, tropical and dense and a wonderful escape from reality. The pool area was lovely and we spent hours down there. Very traditional but comfortable.||The breakfast was tasty and plentiful.||||All in all- it felt like a b&b combined with a private villa- although there were lots of other guests there too, we felt as if it was ‘ours’, in a good way! We loved it.||||Nearby we visited beautiful roman villages (eg balazuc) went kayaking and swam in river beaches. We got pizza takeaway and ate in some lovely local places - it was a perfect base.||||I totally...

The communal areas were very nice with books and games to spend one's time. They have a lap pool which we did not use but looked very nice. The breakfast was very nice and they managed to feed me well despite my allergies.||||We did not get to have dinner because the chef was sick. It was a Monday and off season so we could not really find a restaurant, especially as we wanted to eat early - round 6ish. We bought some stuff from the supermarket and had a picnic in the garden which was very pleasant but may not be to everyone's taste. Also be aware, in case you have allergies to cats that there are two cats in...
