Mas de Veyras - Gites 5* en Ardèche - Les Châtaigniers - Les Micocouliers - Piscine - Nature — Hotel in Largentière

What a week we have had! In August 2023 we stayed at Mas de Veyras for one week together with our two boys (age 8 and 11).

When we arrived both Nathalie and Brice showed us our Gîte and the overall location which is beautiful. Mas De Veyras opened their doors last year and that that shows. Everything is new without a scratch and decorated with an eye for detail. The kitchen is well equipped (washing machine, dishwasher, large refrigerator and freezer) and so are the bathroom, living room and both bedrooms.

There was a (Weber) BBQ to our disposal, two outside sittings areas and a large umbrella. Piece the resistance for the boys but also for us was the swimming pool. Clean, big enough and plenty of relaxing beds to chill and read a book.

We had some issues with the washing machine and the bathroom door that got locked. Within minutes this was solved by Brice.

During the week Nathalie and Brice provided us with detailed information on what places to visit and things to do. Although we spend lots of time 'planning' what to do while laying near the swimming pool ;-), we did follow their advise several times. Especially the GPS location to swim in the river was great.

About 5-10 minutes from the property you can find two great bakeries and a LeClerc Supermarket where everything and more can be found.

Since there are not that many charging options for an EV car in the area, Brice offered us to use their 220V wall plug. This does not charge that fast, but since we were not in a. hurry most days, this did not matter. A great option to have.

On our way back home, we realized that while we were saying goodbye to Nathalie & Brice, we forgot to unplug the charging cable for the car. We texted them and Nathalie assured us they would ship a box with the charging cable to our house free of charge. This should arrive any day. So kind that they went to extra mile.

Le Mas de Veyras was a fabulous experience in the Ardèche. We stayed in the gite ‘Les Micocouliers’ for one week with our family (2 adults, 2 kids). ‘Les Microcouliers’ is one of two gites on the domain of Brice and Nathalie, which live next door. As hosts they were very friendly, helpful and private. They gave a lot of fantastic tips for sites in the Ardèche which were beautiful and less ‘touristic’. Besides that, they were always available and responsive for questions/advice. The gite itself was very tastefully and comfortably decorated. The eye for detail was very big (with even a fantastic scent in each room). The gite had all the amenities that you might wish for. Really really great! The only very small downside: The gite does not have a breathtaking view of the Ardèche (you look into a garden and a street of houses) but the fantastic terrace on which we spent every evening with some wine, cheese and bread makes you forget that very quick. 😁 The private garden which you share with the other gite has a fantastic pool and pétanque course. Nice to relax! Shops (big and small) are very close (5-10 min. and you are immediately on a main road which makes trips during the day very easy. To summarize: we really recommend staying at Le Mas Veyras when you go to the Ardèche. Just not when we need the gite during the summer holidays. 😉 Thx Brice...

The cottage is fully furnished: both inside and outside, everything mentioned in the description is present and more. The whole place is very tastefully decorated, and everything was spotlessly clean upon arrival. Brice and Nathalie are ready to welcome you with open arms. They provide useful tips for exploring the region, not only through a carefully compiled information folder upon arrival, but also through a short introduction upon arrival, during which they immediately respond to any questions you may have. If you have any questions later during your stay, they are easy to contact. We stayed here for 10 days with our daughters (aged 17 and 20) and had a wonderful time. Definitely recommended for anyone who wants to explore the natural beauty of Ardèche from a charming accommodation! We would love to return...
