My wife and I stayed in room #1of the main house for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this tastefully restored manor house. While we did not have the pleasure of meeting the owners, the caretakers did a fine job of looking after our needs. ||||Our traditional breakfast of croissant, baguette, jam, coffee and orange juice was shared with other guests at a long table in the dining room on the ground floor and was very enjoyable. ||||I can sum up our impression of this fine B&B as follows:||||The house is located in a quiet location and set-back from the country road by about 80 feet. During the day the road has a fair bit of traffic but is completely quiet at night. The manor itself is old-fashioned (in a good sense) and traditional. It has been tastefully restored to include all modern conveniences with in-suite bathrooms and wi-fi. Our bed was extremely comfortable and our room spacious and clean as well as nicely appointed. ||||The B&B is located a mere 10 min drive from Eteretat and the coast. There is lots to do in the area, so this location is ideal as a base from which to tour from.||||Our only minor criticism would be the lack of sound-proofing between the rooms. During our stay we had a couple with a baby in the next room and the baby would start crying every morning at 5:00 am, which was quite noticeable. Not withstanding that, if we had had quiet neighbors, our stay would have been perfect.||||We did really appreciate the fact that the rooms did not have televisions, thus allowing for more peace and quiet in the evenings/nights.||||Thus, I can highly recommend this B&B to...
Read moreMy partner and I stayed in the gypsy caravan for 4 nights. We came across it while searching for accommodation in the area and it looked so quirky. We weren't disappointed! The caravan is in a lovely setting in the grounds of the guest house and self catering cottages. The caravan was so well equipped, everything you need for 2 people. You couldn't cook a massive dinner, but then you wouldn't want to in a caravan! We ate out at lunch and made simple salads for the evening. We had outside seating on the caravan terrace, some comfy outdoor chairs and a picnic table all in our little bit of the garden. We had a resident goat and donkey who provided much amusement. The bed was comfy, the shower was hot and we felt so at home we could have stayed a week. Nearby we visited Rouen, Honfleur, Etretat and neighbouring villages. I would love to stay here again and would recommend to any couples wanting a short break in Normandy. You do need a car to get out and about, but cannot fault the...
